Advantages: Efficacy, Reasonable value for money, Beautiful packaging and good customer service from LE's own website

Disadvantages: As bought over web, cannot examine first

Like many people, I seem to be on a continuous search for skincare products that work reliably and consistently. I am 36 and have combination skin, slightly oily around the nose and chin, oily near the hairline, but dry and sometimes flaky on the cheeks and forehead.

After reading some good reviews of Liz Earle products, I took the plunge and ordered the cleanser, toner and moisturiser (dry/sensitive), and I have to say, after about one month's use, I'm impressed.

Cleanser: I'd used another waxy cleanser taken off with a hot cloth before, and liked it, but after a couple of weeks began to develop blackheads, which I don't normally. I suppose the waxy element of the cleanser was blocking my pores. So far, this has not happened with LE's Cleanse and Polish. I tend to apply a thinnish layer, and take it off with about three goes with the muslin cloth, as hot as I can bear it, then splash my face very lightly with cold water.

Toner: Unlike some people, I do like to use a toner, to make sure that all remnants of cleanser are removed if nothing else. I find LE's Instant Boost Skin Tonic pleasant to use, with a nice, but not overpowering fragrance, and a soothing effect. It is also pretty good at removing the commuting grime from my neck!

Moisturiser: These always seem to be the sticking point of most skincare routines, being too rich or too thin. LE's Skin Repair Moisturiser (Dry/Sensitive) has a moderately thick consistency, but I find it sinks into the skin well, and only a very small amount is needed. At the moment, I am only using it at night, but think it would be fine to use as a day cream in the colder weather.

Overall, I am definitely aware of a slight improvement in my skin after a month of Liz Earle's regime. It feels smoother, less tight and uncomfortable, and I have lost the particularly dehydrated, flaky patches between my brows and under my eyes. With many other regimes, I have foun
d any initial positive effects begin to wear off after about a fortnight. I will certainly be ordering some more supplies when my initial stock runs out, and am planning to try more of her products.

My mother-in-law always tells me that Liz Earle products are great but I've yet to try some. Think this might be the first that I purchase as I like to cleanse, tone and moisturise every day.
Good op!
