I have noticed however, that my skin not only feels nicer, but it actually has a bit of a glow to it and it looks much better. Its also a great base for make up, it gives enough moisture that your skin does not flake with foundation, but as I said, its not oily, so your make up doesn't slide off. All in all, I'd say this was a...more

Premium Review Loreal Derma Genesis Day Cream SPF15: An OK moisturiser (344 words)

I bought a bottle of L'Oreal's Derma Genesis when i was in Boots last week - I needed a new moisturiser, I had a £5 off skincare voucher and felt like splashing out a bit more than I usually do. What could possibly go wrong? Well, nothing really went wrong but nothing went fantastically right either. The moisturiser comes in a 50ml tall plastic pump-action tube and looks quite smart - all clear plastic and silver embellishents. Derma Genesis is aimed at women aged 30-40, the sort of age where you start thinking about looking after your skin. It is SPF 15, which is always handy (although at the moment the rain is lashing aginst my window). ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Smooth, radiant skin - but it doesn't moisturise! (516 words)

I got a few sample sachets of this product, so decided to give them a try recently. I was only using the product for a week, but hopefully in that time I got a good enough idea of what it was like. The product is a day cream which contains SPF15 to help protect the skin from the damage of the suns rays. It contains pink pearlescent particles which should give the skin a youthful glow, and contains lots of different fancy things, which supposedly should plump up the skin, again making it look more youthful. Now mine just came in sachets, but usually it would come in a pump action bottle like the one above, and I do think the packaging of this product ...  Read the complete review

I have been looking for a while for a new day cream that is not too heavy for my skin. I have also been trying to keep an eye on how much I spend on skincare products that I never actually use. Anyway, I think I have found the answer in this product. It is neither too pricy, nor too heavy on my skin. It is just about right in both departments, well in my opinion anyway. It answers the skincare needs of the 25-45 year old woman, well that's if you believe the marketing blurb. And, yes I fit in that category, another plus, being grouped with 25 year old, another reason for buying it! I am not sure though about my skin being dewy, re-plumped, and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Facial SPF Skin protection cream. Nice. (956 words)

This I bought on offer at Boots, where it was £11.99, the price may have differed since but this was only 6 months ago so I doubt it. The main reason I bought it is because there was a freebie bag that went with it- more money then sense? Yup, that was me back then! But I did choose carefully. You see, this is part of the L'Oreal skincare section in Boots where you are thrown for ideas and different products, but following the descriptions for your skin type and age group, its quite easy to see what matches your skin type, then you have very little choice. My skin type is normal/dry and my ages is 27, so I don't really fit into the criteria ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Loreal Derma Genesis Day Cream SPF15: Derma Genesis - Synthetic Silk (285 words)

I was looking for a new moisturiser around the £10 mark, as part of my recent cost-cutting exercise and spotted L'Oreal Derma Genesis Day cream on Amazon for a bargain £9.19! I have used the same Clarins moisturiser for over a decade, but at around £35 I really can no longer justify the expense. Despite the irritating adverts with Penelope Cruz, this seemed to tick the boxes, it has a great pump action, so less waste than the jars (which I find I scoop out too much), SPF15 which I find essential with my fair skin, a brand name I trust and all for under £10. My first impression was the smell, which whilst not exactly unpleasant, wasn't very nice ...  Read the complete review
