Advantages: leaves skin looking and feeling great

Disadvantages: Didn't moisturise very well, so no good for dry skin, expensive

I got a few sample sachets of this product, so decided to give them a try recently. I was only using the product for a week, but hopefully in that time I got a good enough idea of what it was like.

The product is a day cream which contains SPF15 to help protect the skin from the damage of the suns rays. It contains pink pearlescent particles which should give the skin a youthful glow, and contains lots of different fancy things, which supposedly should plump up the skin, again making it look more youthful.

Now mine just came in sachets, but usually it would come in a pump action bottle like the one above, and I do think the packaging of this product is quite nice, and looks fairly expensive. Obviously though, I can't comment on its functionality having not used it.

The cream is white and has a nice consistency. It's not thick, and I wouldn't particularly say it's runny either, it sits comfortably somewhere in the middle. The smell of the cream is gorgeous, but I've found it difficult to put my finger on exactly what it does smell like, as at first I thought it was a quite fruity smell, but the more I used it, the more I thought it smelled floral. Whatever it is, it has a quite luxurious sort of scent to it, without being too highly perfumed and is very pleasant.

To use, you simply need to massage into the face after cleansing. The cream glided over my skin smoothly and although it did take a little bit of massaging in, I found that it seemed to dry very quickly, which is great as it means no waiting around before applying my make-up.

Even after the first application I could see a difference in my skin. Perhaps it was due to the 'pink pearlescent particles' that it contains, but it did seem to give my skin a healthy glow. I also thought my skin felt incredibly smooth and silky after applying this too.

The main let down with this cream for me, was that it did not seem to moisturise my skin very well. I have quite dry skin, which needs a good strong moisturiser to keep it hydrated and looking healthy, but unfortunately this didn't do that. Around my nose where my skin is very dry, it stayed very dry, and as time went on, I realised I couldn't really carry on using this, as I was developing quite flaky patches on the areas of dry skin which weren't being sufficiently moisturised.

A 50ml bottle of this cream costs £15.65 from Boots.

At first I really loved this cream - it made my skin both look and feel amazing, and it was an added bonus that it contains SPF15. Unfortunately though, if you have very dry skin, I wouldn't recommend it, as like me, you'll probably find that it doesn't moisturise very well, which is a shame, as otherwise I loved it.

Summary: Not for me :(

I need an industrial strength moisturiser too - will avoid.
