Advantages: Refreshing to use, very different, wholly natural.

Disadvantages: Only available from Lush shops, website and mail order.

Appearences are obviously deceptive,I was looking for a decent cleanser and exfoliator and I saw this product in the Lush shop at Cambridge.I picked up the 100gram pot (like the ones I get to hold sweet and sour sauce at my local takeaway),and thought I'd give it a try.It is priced at a reasonable £2.75 per 100grams;but then again you always get what you pay for....

On first appearences this stuff looks like a sort of greeny-grey putty with little bits of lavender stuck in it.I thought I'd picked up some kind of weird enhanced glaziers putty by mistake, but lowering my nose over the pot ensured me I hadn't.It smells very strongly of a kind of Lavender and blackberry fruit tea,and is quite pleasent.

Directions
----------

First of all you stick your digit into the pot and remove a pea-sized amount. Then you mix it with a bit of water,in the centre of your palm and rub it into your face, back feet or whatever. It feels very cooling and you can really feel the scrubbing action working.Once this is done you rinse it off with warm water and apply toner (should you use it).Due to the amount of clay used in this,I'd felt like I'd had somebody using the surface of my face as a potters wheel.I felt very refreshed though! I always find using a product like this is ideal to use before a shave.

Ingredients
-----------

Ground Almonds (to exfoliate), Kaolin (china clay to to absorb oils), Glycerine (to soften the skin), Water (errrm), Lavender oil (yummy smell to relax), Rose absolute (expensive essential oil), Lavender flowers (to smell nice and stick in awkward places) and finally perfume;which is self-explanatory really.

Shops found in most major cities and tourist areas.

I found t
his a nice smelling product to use,and luckily it doesn't smell too elderly. It has a nice refreshing and smooth action.I think a pot would last you quite a while,as you only tend to use a tiny bit at a time.I find this product is lovely for opening up the pores prior to a shave and also to put on to tired aching feet after a lot of walking about.

It is unfortunate that you can only buy this from Lush but their website is good to use and easy. The mail order (via telephone) is quick and easy to use too.I thoroughly recommend this product;it is nice to use, refreshing and effective.

I *adore* Lush products, and luckily have a shop near me to drool over, but I haven't tried this product yet. Having read your review, I can see that I must get some soon! Thanks :-)
