Advantages: Suitable for all skin types

Disadvantages: None!

I tend to wear make up everyday even on the weekends when I'm really doing anything. I just personally feel I am one of those women who just look better with make up. Now I'm by no means an insecure person (all though there are times where I do doubt myself but who doesn't?) but when I don't have make up I can look quite pale and sometimes eventy gaunt if i'm a bit stressed at work. The only place I don't wear make up is on a beach on holiday. My skin finally has time to breath and repair. Now since using Lush facial masks I have been feeling alot better about my skin and I have slowly started to wean myself off make up on the weekends! I find that because Lush uses natural ingredients my skin responds so much better to this and starts to look healthy. As I suffer with dry and sensitive skin having make up tends to be the perfect cover up!

I usually have at least two or three Lush face masks in the fridge at any one time because I use them alot, maybe every other day if I can manage it. Normally just before bed when I'm winding down. One of the masks that I am loving at the moment is Ayesha it does a great job in refreshing my skin and making it feel smoother and just alot healthier. Unfortunately Ayesha is not particuarly pretty looking but then I am yet to come across a Lush face mask which is! Ayesha is quite a pale biscuit colour and the shade varies depending on which batch you get. Ayesha is similar in texture to the other face masks, it's solid enough to apply yet soft and liquid enough to go onto your skin easily.

Ayesha is excellent for all skin types, it is not just for perking your skin for a night out, but also for waking it up after a night of partying too much and sleeping too little (so I have found this morning coming home from my weekend away!). After going on smooth and moving your mind to a far better place with its elegant floral and reviving fruit aroma, within ten minutes it rinses away to reveal the brightest, most beautiful skin you've ever owned, to the point where makeup becomes optional. At this point I should mention that Ayesha does not really go solid to the point of you being unable to move your face so don't wait over the ten minutes. And also be prepared for your flannel looking a bit messy! Fear not if you rinse it to get the bulk of Ayesha off and then put it in the washing machine it looks as good as new!

Don't believe me about the wonderful great qualities this little face mask holds? Well, before you use it yourself (and good luck trying to prove me wrong, a waste of time, that!), allow me to explain how it works what could otherwise be considered nothing short of magic. First, two types of natural clays (fullers earth and kaolin) work alongside astringent asparagus and fresh kiwi to deeply cleanse, detoxify, tone, and freshen skin. Next, honey arrives on the scene to add her antiseptic two cents to spots, ridding them of remaining bacteria, reducing inflammation, and replacing essential moisture. Meanwhile, rose (which is excellent for dry or sensitive skin) is touching up her fellow employee's work while contricting broken capillaries before hitting your circulatory system's on button so that it may impart a healthy, rosy (pun intended) glow.

As rose and honey continue to refurbish the epidermis, elderflower and limeflower step up to the plate to fill in fine lines, relieve irritation and to deflate and relax swollen eyes while patchouli (whose controversial scent is undetectable here and if you have read my Karma perfume review you will see why!) simultaneously acts as a gentle coolant. And as if your complexion (and mind) weren't yet awakened enough, witch hazel and rosemary then go beyond the call of duty as pore-tightening toners that leave you feeling vibrantly alert through and through. Wow! I can't believe I know so much about products that go into cosmetics!! This is owed to my best friend who happens to be a beautican amongst many other "cosmetic" type jobs!

That's a big job for one little green mask, don't you think? Yet though Ayesha is packed with a hard working brigade of skin care recruits, the real beauty of this miracle worker is that it's gentle enough to be used as often as wanted or needed. Thank goodness for that, because it's rather easy to become addicted to this mask's effects. I strongly recommend keeping a pot in the fridge at all times, as you'll likely find yourself pining for it every morning of every week and every night of every weekend, unable to resist the temptation of flawlessly well rested skin that appears to be dressed to the nines in foundations and cover ups even when its not. For once a face mask suitable for all skin types and not one that is pin pointed for a certain type of skin!

What Lush say:-

"Spell binding ingredients to smooth away wrinkles.
Last long enough for a magical evening. Tightening, absorbent clays, deeply effective asparagus, vitamin rich fresh kiwi fruit, bewitching elderflower and witchazel, leave the skin radiant, relaxed and refreshed. Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave for five to ten minutes, then rinse away with warm water. Keep chilled."

As like all Lush facemasks, Ayesha costs £6.31 per 100g I think it is. But please don't be put off by the price! Ayesha has given me six great face masks and has lasted a week longer than the given three recommended weeks. The key is not over applying and just using enough to cover your face! Also if you (like me) use face masks pretty much all week long then you can take five pots back and Lush will give you a free face mask!

Summary: Perfect for everyone.
