Lush Baby Face Cleanser

I am always on the look out for products that last a long time, work well and don’t cost too much and I have definitely found what I want with this Baby Face cleanser from Lush. Removing makeup after a long day can sometimes be a bit of a chore but it is certainly made easy with the use of this simple yet effective bar.

The bar cost me £3.25 pence and is a good size at 35 grams. The bar is a creamy white colour and has a child’s face etched into the top surface of the bar. It comes in hardly any wrapping with a thin covering of plastic that was easily disposed of and since buying I have kept the bar in a tin especially made for these sort of bars from lush.

The bar I find does not really smell of anything really in particular and compared to most Lush products has not really any distinctive aroma to recognise it by. Listed amongst the ingredients is an array of butters such as coco butter, Shea butter and avocado butter. This is what I expect gives this bar its soothing creamy texture upon use.

So this bar is described to remove all traced of makeup and daily grime and leave the face looking as fresh as a baby face, and for me I find this is exactly what it does. I tend to use my flannel to apply the Baby Face cleanser as I did begin to use cotton wool pads but found myself going through far to many in a week. I make sure my flannel is damp yet not dripping and then rub the flannel with the cleanser bar to get a creamy residue onto the flannel and then begin gently rubbing it across my face concentrating on my heavily made up eyes.

I have to reapply the cleanser to the flannel and then to my face several times before my face is totally clean and free from and make up whatsoever. Yet it really has totally worked there is not a single trace of makeup or dirt left on my face. The cleanser is slightly greasy when first applying but leaves the skin feeling clean and fresh.

The bar looks as though you have not even touched it after only one use. I have had this one particular bar now for several months and it is still going strong and I have been using it everyday. A little of this product sure does go a long way.

So I would say that this bar is a complete bargain. The price is really cheap and because it lasts to long and works so well how could you not buy it. There is not much waste packaging to talk of which Lush are very conscious of and it sits in its tin nicely on my bathroom shelf. I already have stocked up by having two spare bars in the bathroom cabinet ready for when the time comes and this bar I am using runs out but that wont be for a good while yet.

For everyone who uses a cleanser of some sort I would certainly recommend giving this bar a try as I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Summary: a great cleanser

Just trying to decide which lush cleanser to buy, this sounds like a good one.

Great review x
