The scent is nothing remarkable but is pleasant smelling and it is pretty thick in consistency. This is a really nice one to apply as it spreads so easily across your face. Once I had left it on for 10 minutes it did not make my skin feel really tight like some face masks and it washed off easily. Once it was all removed my skin felt very soft and smooth, really...more

Crowned Review Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic: Don't stop me now... I'm having such a good time (971 words)

A few months ago, when working 70-80 hours a week, I found my skin going on strike. Suddenly it became dry in parts, oily in others and spotty all around. I had no idea what to do with that type of skin - moisturisers would make some parts worse, acne medicine would make other parts worse. It was then that I ventured into Lush to purchase the infamous "Cupcake" facial mask. To my disappointment, the facial mask was not available - but the salesperson pointed me towards the fridge in the corner and took out a pot of "Catastrophe" facial mask. ***Catastrophe*** Like all Lush freshly made facial masks, Catastrophe comes in a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush catastrophe cosmetic (447 words)

This is the first face mask that i've ever tried from lush and I have to say from this experience I will definitely be trying them all! I was a bit unsure as to which one to choose as there are quite a few, in the end I just picked this one as it seemed to be a mask for lots of different reasons. When looking round the Lush shop, face masks are always found in a fridge or in crushed ice and after purchase they should be kept in the fridge due to the freshness of all the ingredients. The use by date is about 2 weeks after purchase and the cost of this product is £4.95 (although if you buy off the website it is a little bit more). Some people may think this is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic: Pure lovliness for your skin (715 words)

Lush have been making fresh face masks for over 20 years, and all of that experience has led led them to create a gorgeous variety. My personal favourite is Catastrophe Cosmetic since a Lush assistant converted me from the immense Cupcake. Recommended to me because of my combination of dry and oily skin, Catastrophe aims to even out skin tone. What I really like about it is that it has dual purpose. As well as acting as a cure for problem skin, it also prevents the disasters before they occur. This is a big selling point for me: why get rid of existing spots when you can just not have them full stop? It acts to soothe and detoxify your skin, using fresh ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I'm on the Lush bandwagon too (738 words)

When I first heard of Lush, I wasn’t particularly impressed. When I first saw these cake-shaped lumps of weird-coloured cosmetics through the shop window, I was even less impressed. Then someone bought me a set for Christmas and the smell absolutely bowled me over. I was hooked. I am not a regular buyer; I tend to wait until birthdays and Christmas and treat myself. This face mask was a birthday gift chosen by my boyfriend (OK, I had to hint big time – to the extent that I told him exactly where in the shop to find it!). Ingredients The mask is made up of fresh ingredients, and as such, has to be kept refrigerated at all times. The main ingredients are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic: it's berry nice! (248 words)

After taking back 5 black tubs you can get a free fresh face mask of your choice which is how I came about this pot. However if you do want to buy it the cost is £6.45. My choice this time was Catastrophe Cosmetic which is meant to be good to soothe skin, reduce inflammation and have an antiseptic effect. The main ingredient are blueberries which are rich in anti oxidants and calamine which is also well known for its soothing properties. To look at it is a purple mixture with dark bits in, which are the blueberries. The scent is nothing remarkable but is pleasant smelling and it is pretty thick in consistency.
