Unlike most girlies I know, I'm not a Lush fanatic. Whilst I do love girly things I think the overpowering scent from the stores combined with the fact that so many people tell me I should love Lush just makes me want to give it a wide berth. There are however a few Lush products that I've tried after being bought as gifts and actually rather liked them. This is one of such items.

The price on the website is £4.16, but it doesn't say how much you get for this amount, and as with most of lushes soaps and bars, you can get however much you want cut off a big block, so the price will vary depending on how big a piece you get.

It looks just like black soap with a little shimmer to it, and it smells of liquorice. The smell is not too strong and although I'm normally more for girly flowery scents, I really love this more masculine scent.

You use the bar just like you would a soap, lather it up in your hands with a little water, work over the face, and rinse off. It also feels quite like a soap when you're using it, though it does feel a little softer to me, and less like it's tightening my skin.

After I've rinsed it off my skin feels very clean, and it does feel a lot smoother, as it has an exfoliating action as well as just cleansing. My skin stays feeling clean and oil-free all day, though it does feel a little bit tight after using it for a few days in a row.

The only real problem I can see with this is that the lather is a dark grey colour, so you need to be really careful when you're using it as it can stain quite badly.

I think this soap does a good job of keeping my skin clean and clear, and I would possibly buy it again.
