Lush don't like to use packaging, or use as little as possible, so the cleansing bar comes wrapped in paper secured with a sticker which tells you about the product. Whilst this is eco-friendly etc. it's not exactly convenient.

It's a black, almost glittery looking block, which can be different shapes and sizes as it's cut from a larger block. It smells really strongly of liquorice, which is surprisingly nice even though I can't stand liquorice!

Lathering it up you get a thick grey lather which makes a real mess of your sink. It feels soft and smooth on the skin, and it gives a real deep clean feeling. It doesn't really feel exfoliating, you can't feel any grains in it or anything, but it does leave the skin feeling really smooth so you can tell the exfoliation action works.

It leaves skin feeling smooth and clean, but I find it feels really tight and in desperate need of moisturiser. With regular use it really dehydrated my skin and made it feel quite sore and irritated. Whilst it does make skin less oily and definitely helps soothe away spots and blemishes, it is simply too damaging to my skin to be worth it.

All in all I didn't think much to this cleanser.
