Advantages: Works wonders, lasts a few times
Disadvantages: Really expensive!
This face mask has to be my favourite of all the pots-of-wonder you can find in Lush 's face mask counter. Being quite prone to spots and the odd breakout, it's perfect my skin type, but at the same time doesn't irritate it which lots of other face-masks seem to do. It's quite pricey (the website now says £6.45 for 75g, which has gone up since I last bought it a month ago!), but you can get about 4, maybe 5 if you use less, uses out of each pot, which makes it sound a little better at just over £1.50ish per use.
The rhassoul mud works as a deep cleanser, and helps to get rid of excess oils on the skin as well as soothing any blemishes. The cocoa powder gives it a strong chocolate smell, and does almost make it feel like you're smothering your face with chocolate, along with the Linseed helps to soften the skin, which is noticeable straight away.
As soon as you take the mask of your skin feels baby soft! The peppermint, sandalwood and spearmint give the mask a little bit of a twist in the scent and are great for balancing out the soils in the skin - perfect if you have oily or combination skin type. I usually pop it on and leave it for a good 15 minutes, although it says less on the pot (5-10mins) I like leaving it until it dries fully.
When you go to wash it off, be wary of using a flannel or sponge as the dark colour can sometimes stain them. As soon as you take it off, you skin feels amazing, the mints give a nice fresh feeling, and the cocoa leaves you face feeling beyond soft. It definitely helps to rid your skin of any excess oils without drying it out, and works a treat with discouraging breakouts and blemishes.
This is one of my favourite Lush products, and if you're considering trying this face mask I'd really recommend it! Even though it's rather pricey, it does do a good job and is much better than most face-masks available in shops!
Summary: Try it if you fancy a really nice treat!
