Yet though its base primarily consists of astringent carnation water, the vast majority of the other ingredients are moisturising rather than clarifying, leading Draught Of Immortality to be a rather mild cleanser. And though it contains softening linseed and easily absorbed jojoba oil (which is the closest to matching the natural oils produced by the skin), the addition of cocoa butter can often be a bit too heavy for oily, acne prone skin and doesn't real...more

Premium Review Lush Draught of Immortality: This is certainly not immortal (712 words)

Over the years I must have tried so many moisturisers and cleansers to probably fill my own chemist! Now that I am getting older (and sadder) my wife keeps telling me that I should be looking after my skin more, before it goes all hard and wrinkly. I think that traditionally men are not used looking after their skin or using creams to look after their faces. So having accepted the idea that I should try a cream it really had to be the Lush shop that I went to in order to find a good product. I had looked at the Draught of Immortality before, but at £6.55 for a 250g bottle it did seem a bit dear for a product that I had not previously tried. But on my ...  Read the complete review
