Advantages: Feels nice on skin, decadent name, natural ingredients
Disadvantages: None
Though I'm still young enough not to have any wrinkles, I do get a little paranoid about the time when, inevitably, they will start developing. I think my eyes are my best feature so I'd been wondering for a while about the possibility of getting some eye cream to keep the eye area looking good!
I am very sceptical about the products which claim to actually get rid of wrinkles (not that I actually have any at the moment...), but a simple moisturiser for the eye area, I thought, would hopefully keep the area moisturised and help prevent me getting such severe wrinkles when I'm older.
I read about Enchanted Eye Cream on this website and was impressed by the favourable reviews, so I decided to pick some up for myself last time I was in Lush. The product cost £9.60 for a 45g bottle, which seems like it will last a long time as I only use the cream at night (I'm in too much of a hurry in the morning!) and you only need a tiny amount.
The lotion contains "organic oils, lavender and soothing honey" which sounds very appealing. I have sensitive skin so I'm quite fussy about what I put on it, but this lotion is full of natural ingredients (and my instincts have been proved right, as the cream does not irritate my eyes at all).
It is dispensed through a pump action bottle, which is good as it lessens the chances of transferring germs. It took me a while to get the hang of this, but only a very gentle push is enough to dispense the very small amount of cream needed. I normally dispense a little into the palm of my hand and use my finger to dab it around my eyes. The cream is exactly the right consistency for easy dispensing and easy application. It is a sort of creamy-white in colour, and has a very light lavender and honey scent.
After applying this cream the skin around my eyes feels softer, refreshed and tighter. I apply it at night and my skin still feels softer in the morning. As I said I don't have wrinkles yet anyway but I've noticed my eyes do look a bit less puffy in the morning! The way this cream feels makes me think that it would indeed help to minimise fine lines, if I had any!
I should say that "Enchanted Eye Cream" is a lovely name and one of the reasons I was drawn to this product - applying it every night feels like such an indulgent luxurious thing to do!
This bottle feels like it will last for ages, but when it does run out I'm sure I'll be buying it again!
