Lush Gorgeous Moisturiser

Description: Brand: Lush / Skin Care Type: Moisturiser / A soft, matte feeling perfect for the day.

Newest Review: ... But the smell was unusual rather than unpleasant (sort of orangey) and hey, Lush did say it was "light" and ... more

... "perfect for daytime." One annoying thing is the packaging - the little black tubs are very environmentally friendly and recycled and all that, but they are a devil to get into. My solution is to open them once and then simply rest the top on them, so they're not REALLY closed. Otherwise I would have to wrestle with it daily, at the peril of my fingernails. Obviously this renders the tub rather difficult to travel with. (And if you knock it down off the bathroom shelf, you'd better slide your face around on...more

It took me a while to get persuaded to try any of the Lush moisturisers as they tend to be expensive and this is THE most expensive one retailing at around £35 per pot (but usually available on eBay for about £20). Luckily, I did get a small sample pot in one of the Lush lots I bought and I loved it - enough to buy another pot (but on eBay for £20, not in a Lush shop), and then managed to bag two pots in their Christmas promotion when you could choose any one of their last years' products for every £20 spent in store. Lush say: "Makes all skin types feel light, carefree and happy. (...) Its magical ability to melt into your skin is unmatched, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Gorgeous Moisturiser: £35 per pot....is it making me gorgeous yet!? (923 words)

I am always on the hunt for a new moisturiser for my face, despite being in love with Dream Cream as it's coming to the Summer I don't want a heavy moisturiser, I need something light that won't make my skin feel heavy and in the summer some moisturisers have a tendancy to be a bit greasy. I had read about Gorgeous several times but never took the plunge and purchased it. Sure, it sounded amazing, but nearly £35.00? For a facial moisturiser? So, I tried another LUSH moisturizer that was a bit less expensive. While I liked it I did have some issues with it, so, technically I was still on the look out. So I eventually took the plunge and ordered online along ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review It's gorgeous, but is it £35's worth of gorgeousness? (1206 words)

Back when I got my "something for the weekend" goodie bag a while back now I got a sample (the size of the lip balm/temple balm/perfume tins) of Lush's most expensive mosituriser Gorgeous. Now this is quite good, from a reviewing point of view, as I would have never forked out the full £35 for the small 45g pot that it normally retails at. So is it worth the price tag? Well Lush make a very good point of telling you to compare the ingredient list with that of other similar priced moisturisers on the market, and sure enough it will win hands down. Lush in fact state it can hold its own with moisturisers five times it's price! I actually could believe ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Gorgeous Moisturiser: A very gorgeous moisturiser (410 words)

I first tried this moisturiser a few years back in Lush's january sale when they gave away anything in the shop when you spent £15! Well, I thought I'd make the most of that offer and got three tubs of the stuff! They lasted me the whole year until the following january, which was great value! We always go into Lush very early on Boxing day, which is the very best time to take full advantage of this offer - except now they've changed the rules! Now you have to spend £20 and the only products you can have free are the ones that they put on their back wall. Now don't get me wrong, a lot of that stuff is well worth having as a freebie, especially the Christmas boxes, BUT ...  Read the complete review
