It can also stop them in the first place, you know how sometimes you can see a big one 'brewing'? Well, put some of this on every few hours for a day and you can get rid of it before it even arrives. I used this twice before I went to work one morning on a big spot, and by the afternoon it had almost gone and wasn't red at all. It com...more

Premium Review Lush Grease Lightning: Grease Lightning spot fighting gel! (452 words)

Recently I have been suffering really badly with breakouts of spots, probably to do with the fact I work with children so lots of germs touch my face I guess. As such I needed to find something that was antibacterial and gentle on skin so that I could combat this. When I went into Lush the store assistant recommended I try this Grease Lightning gel, so I purchased it and am subsequently very pleased. I have been using the product for over two weeks now and the spots have cleared up really well and lots of new ones have not broken out. The one or two which have begun to appear have quickly subsided after I used this product on them. I use this product in two ...  Read the complete review

You know the days when you're willing to do absolutely anything for your friends? The ones where you go round to visit with presents, chocolate, wine and a big hug just to cheer her up because a guy screwed her over? The days that result in a huge breakout because while painting her bedroom walls you end up painting your face and acting like children again? No? So it's just me? Ohwell. Anyway, emulsion definitely isn't good for your skin, we both ended up covered in pimples and needed something to zap them fast. The first thing that popped in my head was "YES! Now I can finally try Grease Lightning from Lush". Perfect. Lush say, "Thyme for tea ...  Read the complete review

I had typed out a big rambling review of this product, but then realised that you don't want to hear all about my spots and how they upset me, so I will just say that: I always seem to have one large spot on my chin, I get rid of one and another appears, it drives me mad as they are always really obvious in photos and there isn't a single photo of me from the last 5 years without a spot on my chin. I started using Greased Lightening about a month ago, and have been really impressed, it dries up spots quickly, and reduces the redness really well too. Premium Review A wonder! (214 words)

I bought this because I had persistent spots on my chin and the side of my nose that wouldn't go away. This gel dries up spots with tea tree to kill bacteria, lavender to control oil production, witch hazel to dry them up, all in an aloe vera base. (Aloe vera is very soothing.) It comes in a small black bottle, like the Lush toner bottles. It costs £4.95 for 45g (as of 2009), which will last a very very long time, so I think that's a great price! A small problem I have with the bottle is when you squirt it, more comes out than you'd like really, what looks like a small blob will cover half your face! However, all aloe vera does this, so I think it's more the natural ...  Read the complete review
