... or shiny like it did when I used my Nivea. The softness lasts most if the day so I am not having to reapply it alot, and do feel my skins condition has improved. The spots are gone and it doesnt feel oily. Despite the high price tag, I am not using alot of it each time, so I think it will last quite a while. I would warn other who use it though not to take the top of the pot off with much vigour, as I have lost some of the cream when I have taken the lid off too quickly. As with all Lush products, all the ingred...more

Premium Review Moisturise your way to imperial skin. (650 words)

I have been using Nivea on my face for as long as I can remember - my Mum does it too so I probably piked it up from her. To be honest I like my skin to feel soft, but I found the Nivea was making it more and more greasy, especially round my T-zone ( Nose and forehead) and I was starting to get spots, something I thought I had left behind when I finished puberty! I love Lush, and the products they sell are a staple in my house, however I have actually never tried any of thier face moisturisers before as they are a little out of my price range. However as I had some vouchers for my birthday I decided to give Imperialis a go, as it says its for combination skin, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Imperialis: Treated like royalty? (941 words)

I am a complete addict! I love Lush and want to try everything they sell, I just can't help myself. the thing is as we all know they sell natural products and I like to use them for that reason. I have PCOS and some doctors and sufferers think there are links between chemicals that we use and PCOS as well as a lot of other illnesses. Maybe they are right and maybe they are wrong. Personally I don't know there isn't enough evidence either way for me to be sure enough. A lot of the chemicals we use are reasonably new to us and we don't know the long-term effects so surely by avoiding them it is a good thing. Lush do use some chemicals but only when they have to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Moisturiser for combination skin? hmm... (680 words)

My skin goes from one extreme to the other. Oily on the T-zones, dry on the cheeks and forehead. The next day it's a complete opposite. So, now that my usual moisturiser was being discontinued I had to find something new. I had tried many of the typical drugstore brands and knew I would have trouble... again. I remembered that Lush, the natural bath and body cosmetics company provide facial moisturisers and they use natural ingredients without testing on animals! So off I went to my local shop and asked one of the helpful Sales Assistants for some help on choosing a moisturiser. For my combination skin, the SA recommended me Imperialis. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Imperialis: ugh! (372 words)

My daughters & I have tried quite a number of Lush products thanks to the generosity of my brother's great idea to buy us all Lush Vouchers for the past few Christmases! On the whole we've been really pleased with the items we've chosen but I have to say that this Imperialus 'majestic moisturiser' is awful stuff. The pot we have is black plastic & is 45g (not as shown in the picture), has an unscrew/screw on lid & is clearly marked with a short description on the lid. When you open it the smell hits you - it reminds me of a very strong camomile lotion & it lingers for ages when you apply to the skin which I found to be quite ...  Read the complete review
