I bought this the last time I was in Lush at Christmas time. I'd never seen this before, and was on the lookout for a Lip Balm, since my lips get so dry. Lush lip balm is pretty expensive, but I was in a treat mood!

The name of the product made me think of a sweet, icing, jam sponge type cake, but I was so wrong. This smelt like Christmas cake, so although I got the icing scent, I also got the fruity scent that you also get from Christmas cake. If i'd asked about the scent, then I probably wouldn't have bought it.

The balm comes in a 10g tin. The packaging is alright. It is a round silver tin, and it has a red label stuck on it. The writing is quite large white and it has a small Lush symbol up the top of the tin.

The balm is a light cream colour. It looks quite greasy in the tin, and you only need a little bit to go a long way. The scent of this is pretty strong as well, and although you can taste the Cake taste slightly, you smell it more than you taste.

I paid £4.95 for this, which I think is expensive for a Lip Balm.

Does it work? This softens your lips from the first use. As long as you don't cover your lips in this, just a little smear is enough and you will get supersoft lips.

I like the product, but will try a different scent next time!

What are the ingredients? I have to buy lip balms with no gluten, any ideas?
