... week and disruped all the flights at Stanstead. The balm itself comes in a small pot with a screw lid and is an off white colour which shows that it is not a consistent synthetic product, the smell is rather hard to describe, in fact it smells of nothing in particular and is almost odourless, at a push I would say there is a slight floral trace to it. It provides good coveridge and it certainly does an ok job however it is nothing special, it protecte my lips but then loads of other products do just as good a job, ...more

Premium Review Lush Lite Lip Balm: Nice but not quite the one for me I'm afraid (682 words)

I am becoming a bit of a churner today. I wrote a review about our Christmas tree and then realised that it was an archive category and so not paying. I then decided it was time that I wrote my review about coping with my father's Alzheimer's disease hoping that my own situation might help others. After working on it for an hour or so I found it was posted in yet another archive category! Still that one needed writing so that's not so bad. Now I'll write in a paying category as that is what we're here for whether we like to admit it or not! While we have been staying in Edinburgh I have been able to do something that I can't do in Llandudno and that is to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review NOT SO LUSH LIPS (1523 words)

A couple of months ago I decided I needed a new lip balm so I headed to Lush, one of my favourite shops due to their ethical aims, products containing natural ingredients, reasonable prices and above all the effective, delicious smelling products. I have previously tried Lush's Lip Service but wanted to try a different lip balm. The choice of lip balms today is usually rather bewildering but the only other lip balm that Lush sells is Lite, so my decision was made for me; I decided to purchase it and see how it compared to Lip Service. *WHAT IS IT?* Lite is a lip balm which uses plant mallow, shea butter and beeswax to soften the lips, soothe ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Lite Lip Balm: A bit of a let down (212 words)

The Lite lip balm doesn't have cocoa butter in it so I was interested to see how well this would work on my lips. It is a lot less sticky than Lip Service and it does absorb well, however I find that I need so much of this too make my lips feel soft the pot goes down rather rapidly. It has a very subtle smell of roses - great if you like flowers, I don't! I really didn't like this one, I ended up using so much of it to make my lips feel smooth that they turned out really sticky and gloopy! I also really do not like the smell, even though it is subtle I find it yucky. I like to be able to lick the lip balm off my ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush on my lips (248 words)
by - written on 16/12/08 (Very useful, 75 readings)

No matter how well this product might or might not work its main prolem is its price compared with other options, as it is it does not justify the high price tag of £3.50 when you compare it with lip balms for half that price that do just as good a job. This lush lip balm uses a combination of natural products like plant mallow and beeswax and it is designed to protect your lips against the cold and wind and leave them nice and soft. Ideal I guess for all those campaigners funded by the Lush owner who sat out on that cold runway last week and disruped all the flights at Stanstead. The balm itself comes in a small pot with a screw lid and is an off ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Lite Lip Balm: Lite but not least (200 words)
by - written on 06/09/03 (Useful, 68 readings)

The choice of lip balms is pretty bewildering these days, but personally I don't like the more gunky, oil-based products, so I was tempted by the description of Lush's Lite lip balm. It uses plant mallows to provide softness and protection. The balm is a rather unusual texture, feeling slightly tacky on the fingertips. But this aspect seems to disappear when the product is actually applied to the lips, and it feels fine. Your lips do feel nicely moisturised, and slightly plumper. The balm has a pleasant but neutral taste and scent, and would be fine to wear over or under lipstick. Perhaps because of its formulation, I also find it lasts longer ...  Read the complete review
