Lush Mask of Magnaminty

Lush have done it again with another stunning product that works wonderfully at is surprisingly at a very reasonable price for what you are getting. This review is for Lush Mask of Magniminty, which is a face, neck and back pack fragranced with mint. Since my cravings for all things minty I thought this was a fantastic purchase and have enjoyed using it right till the end.

It comes from the Lush store and the125 gram pot costs £2.95p but there is a larger option available for about double the price and you don’t really save much money buying larger. The pot the product comes in is a very sleek looking mat black tub that opens with a screw lid. There are simple labels on the lid and side of the pot giving you information on the ingredients and how you use the product and so on.

The smell from this facial mask on simply opening the lid is rather pleasant and not overly minty but rather more fresh smell. The product is a very deep green colour and there are tiny black speckles through out the product. The consistency is rather thick and it doesn’t move around at all in the tub, which is a good thing as it means that the mask is going to stick to the face well.

The best way to use this product is to apply the mask to a fresh and clean face. I tend to use my cleanser and toner to my face before beginning to slap this stuff on. The mask goes on easily and I always start from the forehead and work my way done to my chin and my neck. The thickness in which the mask is applied is rather important I have found due to the fact that if the mask is spread unevenly or too thick all over then the mask will take an age to dry and if spread unevenly will dry fast in some places and not in others and the dry spots will be itching to come off.

However a light spread of this facemask to all over the face and neck id pretty easy to master and takes a few minutes to do. The mask then needs to be left to dry on the face for around 5 to 10 minutes or even 15 depending on the amount that has been spread on. You can easily tell when the mask is dry as the colour changes from a dark, deep green the colour changes to a pale, sandy coloured green. Be careful not too over dry as then it will crack and begin to really itch.

The mask comes off easily with a wet flannel and a smidge of soap. I think it always best to use darker flannels to save on stains but usually the stains will come out in a hot wash. As you take the mask off from the face the best way to do it is in small circular motions. This is to make sure that the small beads that are embedded in the facemask are able to exfoliate the face properly and give you a new lease of life.

The mask will take a little time to remove but the results will be well worth it. The cooling of the mint really seems to refresh the skin and works well to clearing the nasal passages too! The minty smell is not over powering at all which I think is good as you don’t really want your eyes watering during a face mask. The smell is refreshing however and one that I really do enjoy. The beds of exfoliation product that are held within the mask really work well and seem to take all the dead skin off my face.

My skin looked clearly better after using this Mask of Magniminty and I will certainly be buying another tub now that this one has finished soon. It has lasted me a good couple of months and unlike Lush’s Fresh facemask range this one will keep. I have had about 6 or 7 facemasks out of this one small tub, which I think, makes it for the price exceptionally reasonable.

Summary: a lovely facial mask
