I?ve conquered Magnaminty. Sounds quite impressive really, doesn?t it? You?d be forgiven for thinking I?d just trekked up one of the world?s largest mountains, but in fact it?s a face mask.

I absolutely love skincare products and I have been a fan of Lush products for quite some time now. I decided to buy the Lush Mask of Magnaminty to perk up my complexion. I was browsing the website www.lush.com which has become a firm favourite of mine for internet shopping, in search of a product to perk up my weather-beaten complexion.

I was in luck. Lush have never failed to answer my every skins need and this time was no exception. The Lush Mask of Magnaminty promises to ?deeply cleanse, tone and exfoliate? and to ?refresh and brighten everything it touches?.

At £5.25 for a 315g pot I thought it would be worth the money as Lush?s products have always performed well on my skin in the past. So I placed my order and within a few days the product arrived.

It comes in a black pot which I can only liken to a miniature Ben and Jerry?s Ice Cream tub. The packaging is simple yet stylish. (It looks great on the bathroom shelf!). On the top it tells you who made the product and the best before date. As Lush use fresh ingredients the products have to be used before they expire. This mask didn?t expire for three months so I had plenty of time to use it.

The back of the tub states the ingredients (Peppermint Oil, Kaolin, honey, talc, ground Aduki beans, Glycerine and Evening Primrose seeds) and instructions on how to use the product. On the front is the Lush logo.

When I opened the lid (with some difficulty) the smell was gorgeous a very strong minty smell. The mask was a dark green colour with visible exfoliating particles in it which looked to be a brownish colour.

When I scooped out the mask it was very thick more like a putty but I found it incredibly easy to apply. I should probably add at this point that you only need abo
ut a 50p sized blob amount as it goes very far.

The packaging says to leave the mask on until it dries. For me this took about 10 minutes though it would depend on how thick you apply it. During this time my skin began to tingle and feel incredibly fresh. It was a very pleasant sensation, mild yet very refreshing.

It was fairly easy to wash off- no scrubbing required! I did as the packaging recommended and removed with water massaging in circular movements. When it was all washed away and I had dried my face it felt really fresh and definitely looked brighter and smooth (thanks to the exfoliating Aduki beans and evening primrose seeds.)

After using this product I always feel thoroughly pampered and have had many compliments on my bright and youthful complexion.

The tub lasted me for about 20 applications which worked out at just 26p per application. Much cheaper than most sachets in the shop, which cost about £1.

The product can also be used on the back. They describe it as a ?big green giant of a face and back pack?. But I have only tried it on the face. I am sure it would be suitable for all sins except very sensitive ones.

The only thing I found annoying was the lid but it?s hardly a major thing to worry about and it didn?t really bother me. Overall I would definitely recommend this product. It has become a firm favourite in my bathroom!
