Advantages: Very effective cleanser

Disadvantages: No longer available

For me this is one of the ugliest of the Lush products that they have sold over the years but also one of the best which is a real shame as you can no longer get it, I have sent a few messages via forums and direct to the company asking for them to start selling it again but no luck so far.

Visually there is nothing sweet at all about this Japanese Girl, in fact it looks like her face got squashed and she is grimacing, also she has a pretty bad pasty pink complexion so not a lot going for her, that is until you start to apply it to your face and then you get a wiff of the lovely creamy aroma hich is slightly sweet and rather fragrant with a hint of lemon to it.

It contains ground aduki beans whatever these are but their role in the bar is to exfoliate the skin and they are very effective, I tend to rub the bar directly onto my skin however you can also massage it into your hands first as it becomes nice and soft with the heat from your hands and the massaging.

It leaves my skin feeling well refreshed and it certainly has an invigorating quality to it which is very pleasurable indeed so get a move on Lush and bring back squashed face girl to the range.

Summary: Great product sorely missed.

Aduki beans are a red bean used in Japanese cooking. theya re often cooked and mashed with suagr to make swet bean paste and used in Japanese confectionary, such as anpan bread. I rather suspect it is the confectionary link that got this named "sweet"
