Advantages: Cleans and refreshes skin, while being gentle and natural.
Disadvantages: Honestly can't think of any
This stuff is absolutely fantastic!!! I've been using Lush Ultrabland for the past three months or so and I can't believe how good it is. The cleanser is smoothed on to the face, then cleaned off with damp cotton wool.
The cleanser comes in a black, screw top tub, and Lush are currently running a promotion whereby, if you return 5 empty black pots, you get a free face mask. In terms of the cleanser itself, the appearance lives up to the name, as it's a creamy in colour and texture, and looks pretty unremarkable. It has a faint smell of honey, but is still fairly "bland." I wasn't too optimistic when I first tried it, and wasn't that impressed when I first put it on, as it made my skin very greasy while it was on. But when properly cleaned off it leaves your skin feeling soft, refreshed and clean. You do have to be careful and make sure that you remove all of the cleanser or you will leave your face very greasy for the rest of the day. But when used properly it produces great results. I saw my face clear up in a week, and now use Ultrabland as part of my daily routine. I now notice a difference if I don't use it, as my face can start to become spotty again if I forget it for a few days.
It can seem quite pricey, at £8.95 for 100 grams or £5.50 for 45 grams from Lush stores but it does last a long time, as you don't need very much each time you use it. One of the small 45 gram pots lasted me about 3 months, which works out as pretty good value.
It uses natural ingredient, such as peanut oil, honey, beeswax and rose water to soften and cleanse skin, and I cant think of a cleanser that works better (believe me, I've tried a few!) While being thorough, the natural ingredients ensure that it is very gentle to skin, which would probably be a great benefit to those with sensitive skin.
Overall, it's a fantastic product, and an uninspiring name hides the secret of a brilliant cleanser!
Summary: Brilliant cleanser which works really well

- 18/08/08 Have never tried this - my skin is going mad at the minute and Fresh Farmacy seems to make it worse but I was recommended to avoid Angels on Bareskin for awhile... may have to give this one a shot - getting desperate! x |

- 16/08/08 I love Babyface so much that I can't see me ever moving on to another cleanser but if I did it would most probably be this one.
