Advantages: Makes skin smooth and soft
Disadvantages: Price, could be a bit more generous on the size of the tubs...
I bought Lush's Ultrabland cleanser yesterday whilst out shopping. I bought this from the Birmingham store and the staff were friendly and helpful.
I bought the small size tub which was £5.50, i thought this was quite expensive as the pot is only a few inches deep. You do though only need to use a tiny amount, i tried this out for the first time last night.
The smell hasn't really got a particular smell, it's just, well bland. Certainly not an unpleasant smell though.
I got a little amount of cleanser from the tub (be careful how you open the tub as when resealing i could see the cleanser seeping through the sides), it melted between the palms of my hand and i applied it by smoothing it over my face. It says on the tub to dampen a cotton wool pad and wipe it off thoroughly this way, i followed the instructions but still felt there was a trace of the cleanser on my face after numerous wipes of the pad so i gently splashed warm water onto my face and got it off this way.
At first your skin feels quite oily and greasy and this made me quite sceptical that this wouldn't be the right cleanser for my skin (i have dry but can get oily skin at times around the t zone). Although once i got all the cleanser off, it removes all make-up and you can see the traces of dirt on the cotton wool pads, my skin felt fabulous and so, so smooth afterwards. i was really impressed and as yet this is one of the best cleansers i've ever used.
After using this i follow it by using a toner. I use Lush's Breathe of Fresh Air toner.
Shall definitely keep on using this as a part of my routine.
The ingredients are as follows:
Ingredients:
Peanut Oil (Arachis hypogaea), Rose Water (Rosa centifolia), Beeswax (Cera alba), Honey (Mel), Fresh Iris Extract (Iris florentina), Glycerine, Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia), Tincture of Benzoin (Styrax benzoin), Sodium Borate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
Summary: Shall be a regular product in my cleansing routine...
