Advantages: Wonderful on really sensitive skin

Disadvantages: Feels a little waxy at first

I don't normally have any time for things like cleansers, but I got a small tin of this in a present box. I was skeptical at first - my skin has always ended up greasy and spotty from cleansers, feeling worse than it did when just being washed with soap. But as a faithful lush-ite I thought I'd give this a try.

Firstly, it smells very slightly like beeswax candles. It also has a slightly waxy texture. You rub a little bit of this on your face, and then wash it off with water (I actually found that it came off easier with their Tea Tree Oil toner).

The fact that it feels slightly greasy/waxy is a bit off putting, I must admit. I was positive that this wouldn't do anything good for my skin. I was very wrong. After just the first time of using this, my skin felt great! I normally used moisturiser after it too, but this is really not necessary. My skin felt very soft and smooth, and I certainly didn't develop any more blackheads whilst using this.

I would say Ultrabland does exactly what it says on the pot. It is really gentle, even for the most sensitive skin, and feels much more natural than the harsh chemicals of other cleansers. A must have, especially at £8.76 for a 100g pot!

Like all of Lush's products it is vegetarian and not tested on animals (although this one isn't vegan). For those with allergies, the ingredients are as follows:

Peanut Oil (Arachis hypogaea), Rose Water (Rosa centifolia), Beeswax (Cera alba), Honey, Fresh Iris Extract (Iris florentina), Glycerine, Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena), Tincture of Benzoin (Styrax benzoin), Sodium Borate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

Summary: A wonderful cleanser, even on really sensitive skin.
