Advantages: Great Cleanser, Non messy
Disadvantages: Contains peanut products
From my previous reveiws you may remember that I am only a recent Lush convert. (The price put me off somewhat)
I was also recommended Ultra Bland to use on my sensitive, spot prone and very hormonal/tempremental skin.
The ever helpful Lush assistants took great care and a lot of time checking what I was looking for in a cleanser and making sure that it was well suited to my skin.
From the name 'Ultra Bland' you will gather that this cleanser is, well, bland. This is not by any means a bad thing. It just means that there are no perfumes that your skin may react too.
The ingredients include:
Peanut oil, Rose water, Beeswax, Fresh Iris extract, Rose Absolute, Glycerin and Tincture of Benzolin.
I must stress that you cannot use this product if you are allergic to nuts!
The benefit of penaut oil is that it helps to reduce any scarring left behind by previous spots.
To use this you need to rub some of the cleansers between you (clean) palms and then smooth it on to your face, gently massaging it into your skin. Once you have massaged for a couple of minutes you will need to soak some cotton wool or a face cloth in (bearably) hot water and use this to take the product off. It cannot be cold water as this will not remove the oil.
Once removed dry your face and feel just how soft your skin now is. Some times I feel I could get away without using a moisturiser as it is so soft. Always a bonus.
This product is recommended by 100% of Lush staff, and anyone that I know who uses it.
Packaging: As with most Lush products the packaging is pretty plain. Mine is a black tub with the name and ingredients listed on it. There is also a sticker stating who made the product, when it was made and when it is due to expire. My product has over a year until it expires.
As always, return 5 (clean) tubs and receive a lovely face mask for nothing! So your doing your bit by recylcling and getting a lovely pampering treat (and your one tub up on your next 5!!)
Price wise: A small tub (45g) is around £4.50 and a large tub (100g) is £8.94. So the larger tub is better value for money.
From some one who didn't like Lush until a few months ago I can safely say that this product has done wonders for my skin. If the store wasn't so far away from me I would be after a job just to get discounted products!
Summary: I love it!!
