Advantages: Had allot of natural ingredients, and minimal chemicals

Disadvantages: didn't do anything for my red sensitive skin.

In the never ending search for the perfect face cream, I ventured into a Lush store, lured in by the exotic scents and fantastical displays of what looked like sliced honey and chocolate not to mention a chilled bar of fruit purees.
Swooped upon by the helpful staff I was a fascinated listener as she gushed about the many virtues of Lush, this being my first time actually contemplating buying something in a Lush store I was pretty overwhelmed at the variety. Asking her specifically for something for combination skin that was prone to redness she guided me to the Lush vanishing cream.

Being somewhat sceptic after having bought face creams and having them inflame my skin, I asked to get a sampler so that I could try it for at least one week before buying it. She very helpfully complied and so I walked out of the store with a little plastic container with Vanishing cream.

The cream has a strong lavender smell, not overpowering but enough that it blocks out any other scent that this cream might have.
Aware of Lavenders calming and balancing properties on the skin, I was pretty optimistic. The texture was like a cream, a bit thicker then the usual creams I buy but it did spread pretty easily.
It wasn't however as absorbent as a gel and did feel a little greasy after a while.
I put this cream on every morning after washing my face, and I was hoping that it would do something to calm the redness that my skin has been experiencing due to a Biotherm cream that I was using before which irritated my skin.

While this cream didn't make any difference whatsoever to my skin tone, it didn't cause it to break out in spots or dry it out so as a moisturizer it was alright, however I specifically wanted something that would soothe my red skin, and I didn't feel that this worked like the sales assistant suggested it would.
After a week I wasn't convinced enough to buy this cream, and I am now heading off to the Clarins section to get some samples of their cream to test for a a week.

So if you have sensitive skin that is prone to redness, I don't think this will make any difference, besides keeping it hydrated.
Lush does have a cream for very sensitive skin, however it is for DRY sensitive skin, so if you have combination skin like mine then it will make it too greasy.
This was the closest thing they had for my skin type and it just didn't really make any difference, I tried to like it (because it is so cheap compared to many skin creams) but I really couldn't.

You can buy this cream in any Lush store or online at www.Lush.co.uk for 14.68 pounds
