Advantages: Great smell, cleared my skin up.

Disadvantages: Might be a bit pricey for some.

I picked up this moisturiser after deciding to try out the Lush skincare range. After reading reviews on dooyoo I decided on my new skincare routine, which included fresh farmacy as a face soap/cleanser, the tea tree toner tabs and then finally the vanishing cream. I suffer from problem skin, I am incredibly prone to spots, therefore I picked products that specifically combat this problem.

The vanishing cream comes in the traditional Lush black pot with screwtop lid, this one holds 45 grams of product. This means that once the pot is empty, you can hold on to it and once you have five black pots of any size, then you can bring them back and claim a free fresh face mask! The cream retails at £14.95, which is a bit pricey for a moisturiser, however I do consider it well worth the price.

The cream is promoted as a 'low fat' moisturiser, which basically means it is very light and not at all oily, therefore it is unlikely to break someone out in spots. In fact the sticker on the product states that it has minimal oil content and helps acne prone, oily skin and T-zone problems. The moisturiser contains lots of lovely sounding ingredients; the main three are witch hazel, lavender and rose. The witch hazel acts as an antiseptic, killing nasty spot germs and the lavender helps keep the skin clear and also the smell itself relaxes. The Lush website states that they have not used cocoa butter, as it is 'not for everyone' which I assume means it is too rich for some people, instead they have used shea butter which is lighter but just as moisturising.

When using the product I find it absorbs almost instantly, which is a plus if you are in a rush. You really don't have to use that much either so I predict it will last me a long while. It also preps skin perfectly for make up and there will be no overly oily or dry patches (I have combination skin). I also find that my face feels moisturised all through the day, so there is no need to reapply outside of the morning/evening skin care routine. In regards to the smell, I can pick out the rose and lavender as the most dominant smells, although i guess this might be different for everyone as different people pick up on different scents.

This product can also be bought in a pump bottle, although I prefer the pot as I can save it and use it back to claim a face mask, also it can really get all the product out and have more control over how much I use.

Overall I will give this product 5/5 as it is lightweight and combined with my other skincare products it has calmed my face down and zapped a lot of my spots. Despite the price I think it is good value for money as it can be recycled in the Lush pot recycle program, it is lasting really well and also it has approximately a year before it expires, which can sometimes be a problem with Lush products.

Summary: A beautiful moisturiser which has cleared up my skin!
