We're always being told eating chocolate is bad for our skin, but what about applying it directly to your face?! I recently bought a Montagne Jeunesse chocolate face mask, and although I do like most things chocolate, but once I got home, I did wonder what possessed me to buy this, as it seemed like a bit of a novelty product! ~About the product~ The mask is vegetarian approved as well as BUAV approved. The mask contains Dead Sea Salt, Cocoa butter and Shea butter, and promises that this will unblock pores, draw out impurities and leave you with 'renewed, re-hydrated and younger looking skin.' It is suitable for Normal, dry and 'T-Zone' ... Read the complete review

I''ve gone a bit face masque crazy recently, ever since I spotted these in my local branch of Sainsbury's I've been choosing a different one every week. It's become quite an enjoyable, relaxing and self indulgent treat and I can say that all this extra pampering is certainly improving my skin. Now I didn't really fancy the Chocolate Mud Masque, I've picked it up a few times and put it back down again as other varieties have seemed more appealing. The whole thought of the chocolate just sounded a bit icky and thought it would be a bit sickly to have on my skin. After having a look at the packaging though, it did sound as it would be perfect for me. It was ... Read the complete review

I was in need of some de-stressing and a mini pampering session last night so decided to use the montagne jeunesse chocolate face pack which has been lying in my bathroom cabinet for a while. I'm generally a fan of their mini sachets of lotions and potions and coming in at around £1 each are a perfect little treat. These little masks can be fiddly to open but luckily Montagne Jeunesse now have a little circular tab you can pull to open this one; it doesn't make squeezing the contents out much easier though! The mask itself is thick, brown and smells of chocolate. It reminded me of the heinz chocolate sauce you get in the tins of sponge pudding when ... Read the complete review

I don't usually use face masks but last week I was out shopping for my friends birthday present and these caught my eye. I suddenley remembered that she really likes face masks and decided to pick one up for her. They had a lot of different varieties including peel off ones and more traditional face 'cream' masks like deep sea mud, fruit smoothie and fudge. The one that really stood out to me was the 'chocolate mud masque' predominatley because both her and I love chocolate (who doesn't!) and quite frankly the idea of covering my face in something like chocolate appealed to me very much! It also said it was good for moisturising which is something that I knew she would ... Read the complete review

After I left a particularly onerous day at work today (Friday is POETS day so I left at 1500) my skin felt very hot and dry and I had what my nurse calls extraction cheeks for no reason (when I take teeth out I get rosy red cheeks for some reason). It was cold outside but hot inside and I hadn't drunk enough water and my skin felt generally uncomfortable. As we've just bought a house and are saving literally every penny, I haven't treated myself for ages so I thought I'd nip into town and get something nice and indulgent and spend the afternoon having a bit of Squiddly time. I went into boots and had a good look round for inspiration, my eyes settled on ... Read the complete review
