Advantages: You get to smother your face in chocolate

Disadvantages: Annoying if it gets on your clothes

I don't usually use face masks but last week I was out shopping for my friends birthday present and these caught my eye. I suddenley remembered that she really likes face masks and decided to pick one up for her. They had a lot of different varieties including peel off ones and more traditional face 'cream' masks like deep sea mud, fruit smoothie and fudge. The one that really stood out to me was the 'chocolate mud masque' predominatley because both her and I love chocolate (who doesn't!) and quite frankly the idea of covering my face in something like chocolate appealed to me very much! It also said it was good for moisturising which is something that I knew she would like, so I picked up two, one for her and one for me.

I was going out that night for her birthday so I thought what better time to use it. I teared open the packet and squeezed some onto my hand. Now when I bought this I expected it to smell remotely like chocolate as it was designed to clean the face not for eating but oh my god, it was literally like thick melted chocolate, it smelt heavenly. I started to smooth it onto my face and found it to be a very thick consistency which I liked as it made me feel like my skin was getting good coverage. As there seemed to be a lot in the pack I decided to put it on my neck which I don't usually do with face packs but quickly realised this was a mistake as there was SO much in there it could easily be used for two applications.

I left it on for about 10 minutes and then washed it off. I did need to use a face wipe at the end to really make sure all of it had come off. My skin was left feeling lovely and smooth, not quite as nice as when I use my Clinique mask but for the price it was defiantely worth it!

Smells just like chocolate, you feel like you are literally smoothing chocolate onto your face.

Very cheap, I have seen these in Asda for 90 something pence but I got mine in Home Bargains for 40 something pence.

There is a lot in a packet, easily enough for two applications.

Leaves your skin feeling lovely and soft

~~Disadvantages~~

You can't eat it!

You've got to be very careful about not getting it on your clothes because I would think it is hard to get out.

Just before you wash it off it starts to crack out your skin feels tight.
