Advantages: Leaves skin feeling soft
Disadvantages: none yet
I used to really love these sachets of face masks but due to using one about 6 months ago that I reacted to and looked worse when I took it off I have shied away from using them. I have started using ones from Lush but had run out so I decided to try this one that I had found lurking in the back of my draw (along with some other things that I can't identify!)
Picking my moment for a nice relax in the tub and using a face mask is also a problem in my house as my 2 boys could be little angels before I get into the bath but I guarantee that world war 3 will kick off as soon as I get into the tub! So I picked the day when they were staying with my sister and got ready for my long soak and pamper.
PACKAGING
This is the other thing that puts me off these, I am not thick or anything but I always seem to get in a right mess with this packaging, for those of you who have never seen these it is basically a 20ml plastic sachet that has a tear strip on the side of the top. I manage the tear strip but then trying to get it all out is a nightmare! Once you start squeezing it out your hands get slippery and then I end up in a right mess but that could just be me!
All these sachets come in different colours for different ones in the range; this one is mainly pink with blue outlines. They all also have a picture of a poor women with leaves covering her eyes and some flowers, the instructions and directions are in 2 languages English and I think French (sorry have forgotten all my school French!).
PRODUCT STATEMENT
Deeply cleanse your skin. When you tear open the sachet you are flooded with the fresh fragrances of Lavender, Sweet Seaweed & Dead Sea Minerals. Lavishly apply and relax as impurities are drawn out and blocked pores opened for a deep clean.
USING
Ok so I have my peace and quiet! I armed myself with a good book and ran a lovely big bubble bath. Opening the sachet of this product was surprisingly easy this time and straight away I could smell this really nice clean sort of fragrance from the mask. I can't quite put my finger on any certain ingredient that this smells of but it does contain lavender and bergamot but neither are very strong, It just smells very clean and fresh.
There must be a knack of getting the mask out of the packaging without making a mess but I have yet to find one! I just scoop it out with my fingers and apply to my face. This mask is very pale blue in colour and a lot thinner in texture than any of the others that I have tried, it spreads very well onto the face and you get a lot in the packet. I had enough to cover my whole face and neck and there was still a bit left in the bottom of the sachet.
The instructions tell you to clean your face first with warm water but do not use any soap and then apply the mask, you then leave it on for 10-15 minutes or until it feels dry and then rinse off with water. I must admit I used to use a lot of mud masks when I was younger and loved doing that make your face crack when you smile thing!
After applying this one the nice scent does linger but is not overpowering, so I had my nice bubble bath and book and relaxed until the other half rushed in to use the loo! (The drawbacks to having only 1 loo in the house!) He then cracks up laughing and tells me the mask is an improvement! (That's his nice romantic meal out the window!) I left the mask on for the full 15 minutes and I can say that it didn't make my face feel all that tight I could feel it cracking in places but not all over.
Removing the mask was very easy but I have learned from past mistakes (having people point out that I have the remains of a face mask in my ears!) I now use a flannel to remove the mask and that manages to get it all off. After pat drying my face I looked in the mirror for a closer inspection and I can report that my pores seemed to be very clean especially those around my nose where the dreaded blackheads like to lurk. My face also felt very soft and smooth; there was also no adverse reaction, no red or dry patches witch was a relief after the problems with the last one I used. I can also report that my skin stayed feeling soft for a few days after using this product.

The company also state on this product that it is approved by the vegetarian society (hence the warning about not eating it!) and they are also against animal testing.
WOULD I USE IT AGAIN?
I am happy to report that YES I would use this one again, it really did leave my skin feeling soft and clean, the sachet also had enough of the product in it to cover my whole face and neck. I have bought and used this product a few times now and am really pleased with the results. I have also learnt to lock the bathroom door when I am using it so the other half can't comment and can also wet himself! (That will teach him!)
