The great thing about the huge selection of Montagne Jeunesse face masques is the price at only 99p. This means you can try out lots of varieties of masques without over stretching the purse strings. The bad thing is they all smell so delicious you just want to eat them!

As well as the tasty sounding ingredients in the masques, you can also buy wipe off or peel off varieties. I tend to prefer the peel off masques and this Passion peel off masque is one I have used most recently. It's called Passion Peel Off and its principle function is to deep cleanse your skin.

Pretty much any skin type can use it as it's suitable for normal, dry and combination skins. It sounds deliciously fruity with pulped pomegranate, passion flower, raspberry, grape and cranberry all listed as ingredients.

The individual sachets have an easy to open tear off top through which you squeeze out the contents. Before using the masque, you first have to cleanse your face and dry it. When squeezing out the masque, the first thing I noticed was the colour which looks exactly like strawberry jelly. The consistency is like a liquid gel but not runny. The smell is divine. I can really smell the cranberries and was extremely tempted to taste it.

Applying it over my face is very easy and it glides on smoothly and the residue on my fingers isn't sticky and just disintegrates. There is a lot of the product and I probably ended up putting too much on as I didn't want to waste any. This had the effect that a small patch didn't dry properly. Next time I think I would use it on my neck as well. You have to wait for between 10 and 20 minutes while it does its job of deep cleansing, during which time it should dry completely.

While it's on, my skin feels nice and cool and while its drying, it doesn't get that tight feeling that occurs with some masque whereby if I smile or move my facial muscles, the masque cracks. It's actually a very nice experience, waiting for the masque to dry because all you can smell is the fruity aroma. To anyone who happens to see me, I look like I have a really bad sunburn.

I like to leave these masques on for as long as possible and I left mine on for half an hour. When it's dry it feels completely smooth and shiny and not at all sticky. Once the time was up, I called in my 5 year old daughter. She loves this bit. I tell her she can come and peel of mummy's face now. And in she comes and expertly grabs one edge of the masque and very carefully lifts it up and pulls it away from my skin. She loves to try and take it off in one piece and this would have been possible except for the small bit which hadn't completely dried. If any pieces of masque are left behind, the instructions recommend washing them off with water. The discarded peeled off masque is like stretchy cling film.

Anyway, once the masque was off, my skin felt incredibly soft, clean and smelled fantastic. It's easily as good as more expensive masques that I've used in the past. For the price I think it's a fantastic product and one I will certainly be buying again.
