Advantages: Smells yummy, feels good, great results, cheap

Disadvantages: none

With my skin being in the dry state it is currently, I thought that was as good an excuse as any to try out some new face masks!

The first one I've picked up is this Montagne Jeunesse Skin Polisher; I've tried their sauna mask among others and always been pleased with the results so I'm pretty hopeful of this one...

Packaging
----------------------------
All masks by Montagne Jeunesse are in odd shaped pouches, difficult to explain its just a rectangle with extra curvy bits here and there!
This mask is in a bright blue plastic pouch with a picture of a woman's face covered in what I presume is this mask, for some reason she also has leaves over her eyes; these have blobs of honey and cream on them (the main ingredients of this) The pouch has the brand name in the top left corner and a yellow box which says 'For Normal, Dry and T-zone skin Totally Fresh Complexion'. This sounds good to me as my usually normal skin is really dry and I'd love a fresh complexion please! :)
In big yellow writing it says the name of the product- SKIN POLISHER Cream and Honey, it also says in a red box 'New and Improved', I've never tried this before so I can't say whether this is true.
The mask is moisturising because it contains both Shea and Cocoa butter, this is also stated on the front of the pouch.

The Product
-----------------------------
One of the curves that sticks out on the packaging is the tab you twist and pull off to get to the product, this is easy to do and stops any mess which you usually get when you have to cut the top off face-masks.

First Impressions------The mask itself is cream in colour. It's quite a thick and creamy mask and also has exfoliating bits in it which you can feel when you apply it to your face, I've read the back of the pouch and these bits I can feel are tiny Jojoba beads apparently.
As soon as the pouch is opened the smell of honey is really strong, it smells just like a honey yoghurt! A really gorgeous smell, I love anything honey scented anyway.

Applying------I squeeze some out onto my hands and don't know whether to eat it or put it on my skin! It does smell so edible but I must be sensible...I follow the instructions on the back of the packaging which says to apply to damp skin with damp fingers and then I massage it into my skin for a couple of minutes as it suggests, I can feel the jojoba beads working, they are really tiny bits so don't feel too rough.

Then you have to leave the mask on your skin for 10-15 minutes. I sit and watch a bit of This Morning as it works its magic on my poor skin, I've set my kitchen timer so I don't forget about it though I doubt I will with such a strong smell of honey so close to my nose.
Another thing to note is that I have applied a thick layer over my whole face and have only used about half the contents of the pouch. I don't know how long this will stay fresh and effective but I'm going to keep it in the fridge for a couple of days incase my skin needs a top up! Its worth a try when there's so much left.

After a couple of minutes my skin is tingling ever so slightly but I think that's just because the beads have opened up my pores and now the mask is working deep down in my skin....I'm hoping!
5 minutes later and the tingling has stopped, the honey smell is still just as strong though and I'm starting to get hungry.

I've left it on the full 15 minutes and its now time to rinse off, having been sat in my lounge watching TV and updating my review I hadn't seen what it looked like as it got to work. Having just been into the bathroom to rinse it off I was surprised to see that where the mask had been creamy and thick looking it had now started to disappear and my skin was visible through it. Rinsing off is quick as the mask doesn't seem to dry and it came off easily with warm water.
I patted my skin dry as directed and then noticed it says to use this mask daily, I don't think my skin really needs it every day but I now know I can use up the left-overs in a couple of days.

The results
-----------------------------
First of all my skin still smells of honey even though I rinsed it off 5 minutes ago, I don't mind this at all!
More importantly my skin feels really soft and those dry patches really have disappeared, I can't stop touching my skin it's so smooth and lovely.
It looks better too, my skin tone is even and if I was going out today I don't think I'd bother with make-up; it looks so good. A definite 5 star product, my skin really was a mess and now it's gorgeous, anyone with good skin would be positively glowing with this!

Recommended to everyone, whatever skin type you have. I can see this product being a good one for winter when your skin gets all dried out with the cold winds.

Montagne Jeunesse use lots of natural ingredients in their skin care "Sexy natural creamy skincare" it says at the bottom of the pouch.

This mask cost me 99p from Boots and I've seen them for sale in lots of other shops too.

The mask is approved by the vegetarian society and both the ingredients and the finished product are not tested on animals.

Summary: A great mask for winter skin
