Been wonderful for years, so why change formulation? (Mudd Original Face Mask)

Advantages: Cleans exfoliates and gets circulation going

Disadvantages: Formulation changed, hope it's just temporary

I've been buying Mudd original face mask by Chattem Ltd for 10 years and didn't know what I would do without it, as it really cleaned my skin, exfoliated and got the circulation going. I tried other face masks and none of them were as good as they didn't dry as hard and didn't remove blackheads. People always compliment me on my skin and I know it's down to applying the face mask to clean my skin and then applying a high quality moisturiser after. I have always been glad that it has been sold for so long without changing, but to my horror I bought the mask a few months ago and it seemed a different colour while coming out of the sachet but I thought that the colour wouldn't mean it has changed, so I applied the mask and it didn't dry as hard and didn't get the circulation going. I looked at the ingredients and they are the same as it used to be and as I'm a beauty therapist I guessed that maybe they didn't put as much fullers earth in it as that's the dark clay, but I'm not completly sure why it seems to have changed. I'm just hoping it's temporary and it will go back to how it used to be or I will have to search hard to find another product.

I phoned Chattem UK and asked why it has changed, and she said that the clay they buy from the manufacturers has changed. It doesn't make much sense to me, as Fuller's Earth and Kaolin isn't difficult to buy, so I'm sure they can find the same as they had before.

Summary: Been wonderful for years. Hope the formulation changing is a temporary thing.
