Advantages: makes your skin feel really smooth, a nice little indulgence
Disadvantages: the tingling, the slight redness immediately after taking it off
Being ‘slightly older’ than most of my pals, I’m trying to delay the signs of aging, you know - the dreaded wrinkles and fine lines around the face (some people would say it’s like shutting the gate after the horse has bolted – but what do they know!). This means that everything in Boots is fair game, I plumped for ‘Mudd Original Mask’ as I had read a few opinions here on Dooyoo and they all seemed to give it the thumbs up! As I use the Clinique 3 step system, I actually didn’t think that I would notice so much of a difference, but blimey, this stuff is lovely! It’s a really creamy and gorgeously scented grey/green/brown smooth clay based (known for its ability to draw out ingrained dirt and excess oil) face mask. It goes on really easy (just avoid the eye area as per instructions) and feels really nice, but once it starts to harden it can make your face feel rather odd, rather tight and tingly but quite nice. At this point, I would suggest that you don’t answer if someone comes to your door; shout through asking them to come back in about half an hour, otherwise you’ll frighten the living daylights out of the postie! After about 15-20 minutes you can wash it off really easily with cold water and a flannel, so no need for soap, but don’t worry about the redness, it’ll go after about 30 minutes. It’s really nice to put on before a night out, (though I put it on the night before, just in case it brings out any spots) as it gives your face a really ‘clean’ and smooth feel. I would even recommend it to all the men out there (there’s nothing wrong with wanting to have great skin even if you’re a bloke). I would try out a patch on your arm first if you suffer with sensitive skin, but don’t put it where there are loads of hairs – it hurts! The 80ml tube costs £5.00 at Boots, and you should get about 7 or 8 masks
out of it, but if you want to put more ‘Mudd’ on then you’ll get at least 5. It’s a nice little indulgence and now I’m looking after my skin with this as well as using Clinique I’m hoping it’ll stop the crows feet appearing. Keep your fingers crossed!
