In the quest to write a Dooyoo opinion that someone might actually want to read (as opposed to just being nice and reading it anyway – and thanks for those, folks!) instead of droning on (and on and on….) about my favourite band, I decided a few nights ago to turn to my collection of facemasks. I admit that I first bought this because of the novelty value of buying a black face mask made of charcoal! The charcoal is supposed to hoover out all the gunk in your pores and I think it does live up to that promise. Using this mask is a little like using a mud mask. It behaves in a similar way on your skin and my face did feel a lot cleaner afterwards. It is a lot simpler to use than a mud mask though as it comes off more easily (it's probably not a good idea using white face towels though!). My skin is very dry with a few greasy areas. Don't use this if you have an aversion to scrubbing your bathroom clean! It's good stuff but it left black marks *everywhere* Apparently this facial scrub has 'activated charcoal' in it - I'm not sure quite how you go about activating charcoal, but it does the job anyway. This is a scrub suitable for all skin types, but perhaps if you have very sensitive skin you should try one with smaller granules in or this would be too harsh. I absolutely love the 'Charcoal Face Pack' which is part of the Boots Natural Collection. When it dries, you can see where it is removing the impurities out of your face. Once the pack has dried and you've washed it off, your skin is visibly clearer and it feels silky soft as well. I highly recommend this product and I've even got a few friends into charcoal facial cleanliness.
