Advantages: great products, tiny prices
Disadvantages: dull and boring new packaging
Loving girlfriend that I am - I promised my beloved an invigorating experience that would bring colour to his cheeks. Yes, of course a facial! So, I pulled his fringe back and sprayed my new favourite toner onto his face, ready to smooth off with gentle pats of a cotton wool pad. "I'M BLIND!" he screamed "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING - THAT STINGS MY EYES!" That's right - the nancy didn't shut his eyes properly. So, for all you girls out there - here's my review of a lovely toning facial spray - or alternatively, as my boyfriend puts it 'eye poison'. I've been snapping up the last of the old style packaging of Natural High products, (exclusive to Superdrug) recently, as they have been discontinued. For some unknown and freakish reason, they have kept the products the same but updated the beautiful range of pink, blue and yellow bottles to standardised grey -I'm furious, but that's another story. The products themselves are wonderful. I wrote an opinion on the Instant Radiance Balm a little while ago and now I'm equally chuffed with my Toning Spritz. Spray it over cleansed skin and wipe off with cotton wool. The witch hazel content not only feels refreshing and cool but also helps prevent spots. Likewise the Strawberry Leaf has an anti-blemish effect (and all without that horrible chemical smell). I don't find it stings at all and actually find it incredibly gentle on my skin. Obviously wipe it off your eyes first with the cotton wool so you can open them to do the rest of your face. I now alternate it with my more expensive toner, depending on whether I want to be invigorated or relaxed! It seems to have done me no harm, kept my skin healthy and best of all - made my pricey toner last much longer, of course! I've stocked up on a couple of bottles expecting it to be a lifesaver in summer - but I'm ge
tting through it like nobody's business already as I just love the stuff. At the moment - if you can find the old style packaging they are about half price of the identical grey ones they are introducing. Basically they are in a rush to clear the old colours to make the whole shelf uniform (grrrr.) Stubborn as I am, when the time comes to replace them, I will be keeping the old bottles and refilling them with new products - throwing away the ghastly new packaging ASAP!
