... mere sight of this cream in its distinctive blue tub with white lettering instantly transported me back to childhood, when I would watch my mum's beauty regime in rapt bewilderment. The scent also evokes memories, although it does not have a perfume as such. It sounds ridiculous to say, but it smells exactly like face cream, not flowery, not chemical - I would almost say medicated, but not in an unpleasant way. Get yourself down to the Boots and have a sniff. You will know exactly what I mean! I have to say, I fou...more

Premium Review Nivea Creme: A pot of grease for your face anyone? (786 words)
by - written on 06/03/08 (Very useful, 670 readings)
Rating:

The other day walking through Wilkinson's I was looking for some moisturiser for my face. I've quit smoking but my skin just looks so awful since I have quit! Firstly I got a cold, then was hit with a chest infection and just when I was starting to feel more human I got a massive outbreak of spots! Now at my age (33) I wouldn't dream of not using moisturiser but the moisturisers I use are great for their anti aging properties but tend to be fairly greasy so I decided to go back to basics when I saw this on offer! I've read a few reviews on here about this cream and like most people have already mentioned I also remember this being in a bathroom cabinet growing ...  Read the complete review

I remember being younger and being fascinated with my mums beauty products. I used to invade her bathroom cabinet and my favourite thing to try out was always her Nivea creme. I loved its creamy white texture, gorgeous smell and would cover my whole face in it! Now I'm older, what do I think of the stuff? Nivea creme is the original product from neutrogena and has remained unchanged for years, even the tub has stayed the same. Basically, I have faith in a product that has managed to be so popular for so long and is used all over the world. It promises gentle moisturising and the latest adverts make a point of the fact that it can be used all over ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nivea Creme: Good for skin (168 words)

Nivea Creme is a skin moisture made by German company Beiersdorf. It is a multi-functional cream that can be used for skin care anywhere on the body. Nivea contains a special moisturising ingredient called Eucerit, this creates a very special moisturiser. Nivea Creme could be used by all the family. Male and female. Nivea will never ever cause skin problems and it is free from preservatives. I use it sometime when my face develops dry skin. Nivea has stuff in it which nourishes the skin. Regular use of this creme creates smooth pure skin. My mother always use to use Nivea creme and when often she applied a thick ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Nivea oh so soft (777 words)

Having been on dooyoo some 6 months or so now, I have come to the conclusion that it is far harder to write a good detailed opinion on beauty products. For example, if you decide to review a film, you can talk about the plot, the characters, direction, soundtrack, many different aspects. However, when it comes to beauty products it seems a far greater task. Had I ever really given much consideration to the texture of my moisturiser? What makes up the scent of my perfume? Well, not really, however since finding dooyoo I have become obsessed with analysing the properties of all my lotions and potions! I prevail though and here is my latest offering! I grew up with ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nivea Creme: Back to Basics skin care (427 words)
by - written on 23/11/09 (Very useful, 23 readings)
Rating:

Having reached the end of my pricey No7 moisturiser recently and going through a bit of a 'back to basics' phase with my beauty regime, I decided to experiment with some more traditional alternatives. And they really don't come more traditional than Nivea Creme. The Nivea brand these days has given its name to a wide range of facial skin care products. I would say it specialises in anti aging products, although it also has a very good men's range. These products now overshadow the original Nivea, so much so that when researching this review on Boots website I couldn't even find it, even though I bought mine from Boots in store. I guess this may be an attempt ...  Read the complete review
