A wonderful, rich body and face moisturiser (Nivea Creme)

Nivea creme is a very simple, very effective moisturiser which can be used on your face and body. It comes in a classic blue tub or tin depending on the size you buy and is pretty cheap as far as face creams / body moisturisers go. For a 200ml pot, expect to pay around £4 which is not bad considering how long it lasts.

Nivea creme has a consistency unlike many other moisturisers, it is extremely thick and rich and can be scooped up out of the pot using your finger. A little bit goes a long way as it is so rich and you can really feel it doing it's job. If my skin is feeling particularly dry, I tend to slather loads on my face and only rub it in slightly, after a while it all absorbs by itself and your face feels gorgeously soft and smooth.

The creme smells quite nice, it is lightly perfumed but doesn't really have a particular fragrance - it just smells like a moisturiser! To be honest I have gone off the smell as I took this on a long haul flight to freshen my skin and ended up feeling travel sick so I have kind of associated the smell with a horrible experience! However, without this negative association, the smell is very pleasant.

The first time I used this moisturiser was actually on a tattoo as it was recommended by the tattooist (after using savlon for a while). It worked really well for this as well, kept my tattoo looking fresh and bright and I had no problems with it.

I would recommend this for an everyday moisturiser for people with normal to dry skin. I wouldn't use this if I had oily skin as it is probably a little bit too rich but otherwise, it's brill!
