There is very little worse than dry sore chapped lips, and so I always carry a lipbalm, as it's a condition I try my best to prevent. I have had other lipbalms in the past, but my favourite at the moment is Nivea Velvet Rose. It has nice packaging and Nivea is a brand that I know and trust. This lipbalm really re-hydrates your lips without it feeling too sticky or slimey as some lip balms can. The best part of this lipbalm, other than that he fact that it does what it promises is that it also gives a nice subtle pink bit of colour which is just enough so that your lips look attractive and healthy. This certainly helps ... Read the complete review

With my lips having suffered with the very cold Scottish winter I decided to switch my usual lip gloss for a balm in order to get my lips back to silky softness. There were no testers available in Superdrug and I chose this one as I like the Nivea brand and I wanted something that would give my lips a hint of colour. It cost £1.69 which I felt was very reasonable for a popular brand. The balm is in stick form and operates just like a lipstick would. The packaging is a very girly pink making it easier to spot in the black hole that is my handbag. The smell put me off a bit, reminding me of the water and rose petals 'perfume' I made back ... I was on the prom at Llandudno yesterday from 8am until 6pm selling souvenirs in aid of the lifeboats. It is hard work but I love it! We stand in full sunshine all day (when it's shining!) so I apply sun cream and wear a hat but I also need lots of lip salve too. I cannot stand my lips being dry and I suffer from this problem all year round in sun, wind or in doors in the central heating. I find myself constantly licking my lips and then wiping them dry which just makes the problem worse. Consequently I have a variety of different lip balms in drawers around the house and more in my handbags. The one that I was using yesterday is Nivea ... Read the complete review

I absolutely love this product and it is one beauty product that I can't live without. I don't know how many times a day I use it - loads! You can always hear me saying "Wheres my lip balm?" My lips get really dry and I hate not having any balm on them. I use lipstick or lipgloss when I go out at nights, but for days around the house or on holiday in the daytime, I love my lip balm, and this is the best one I have found. It comes in the standard 5cm long lipbalm tube with a lid that covers most of the tube and the lipbalm twists up like a lipstick. It is pink in colour but when you put it on your lips they don't go a funny ... Read the complete review

I bought one of these lip balms yesterday in Boots, it caught my eye as I was after a lip balm but also hopefully something with a bit of colour for using during the day. I like to keep my lips soft but dont want to wear a strongly coloured lip stick in the day time as my job is with a company with a fairly laid back dress code and wearing strongly coloured make up might look a bit over the top. I paid £1,99 for this lip balm and used it straight away. The balm is soft and moisturising without being too sticky and leaves a lovely subtle sheen of pinky/red colour on the lips. I only had to reapply after having lunch and a coffee, the balm stayed put the rest of ... Read the complete review
