Disadvantages: Mooooooooooooooo

The Nivea Soft I am writing about is the larger version of the one in the picture. It also comes in a round tub, not a tube.

==========

Wow!

After suffering from eczema for over 20 years, I?ve finally found something that actually works!

Hundreds of trips to the doctors and herbalists have proved unsuccessful, and after my sister accidentally bought the wrong cream, but insisted on using it as she paid for it, I?ve discovered the solution. Nivea Soft. Hurrah!

This miracle in a pot contains jojoba oil and vitamin E, two things that are vital for skin repair. Jojoba (pronounced ?ho-ho-ba?) is found in the seed of the jojoba plant and is a very good substitute for the oil found in sperm whales. It contains myristic acid, which also has anti-inflammatory actions and the properties of jojoba closely matches that of your own skin sebum so that?s why it acts as a fantastic moisturiser.

Vitamin E is found in many foods such as wheat germ, apples and vegetables to name a few, but it makes a lot more sense to rub a cream onto your skin than to rub food all over yourself!

The cream itself comes in a small, white, round pot and contains approximately 150ml of the wonder gunk. The cream is thick, gloopy and white and the smell sort of reminds me of a mumsy smell. Oil of ulay/olay perhaps?

The best time to use it is just after a shower or bath as it will trap the moisture in and also after taking a hot shower/bath, is the time when moisture is actually lost the most during the average day.

Nivea Soft absorbs quickly into the skin and is non-greasy so doesn?t leave that horrible thin film all over your hands. The pot states that it can be used on the face, hands and body (well duh! where else could you rub it?!) and is suitable for sensitive skin like mine. An image of a baby?s bum come
s to mind.

After using this stuff for a week, my skin really started to show the difference and many people commented on how my face and arms looks a look less flaky (nice!) and smooth.

This stuff is ACE!

Feel free to ignore this part as it?s all rather boring, but for those of you who really want to know, Nivea Soft contains: aqua, paraffinium liquidum, myristyl alcohol, glycerin, butylene glycol, alcohol, stearic acid, myristyl myristate, cera microristallina, glyceryl stearate, hydrogenated coco glycerides, dimethicone, buxus chinensis, tocopheryl acetate, polyglyceryl-2 caprate, sodium carbormer, lanolin alcohol, cetyl phosphate, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, butylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben and parfum ? phew!

I love the smell of it, and buy quite a lot from this range.

To Noozan:

Choo! Didn't realise that Ham bought it from Savers! We have a Savers in Aberystwyth, I just hardly go in there. I shall make a trip and clear their shelves of this wonder gook tomorrow morning... well, afternoon, you know what us students are like! (",)
