I love Nivea products! I find that they really suit my skin, they do the job they say they will and they're reasonably priced. What more can a girl ask for? I have been using Nivea's Refreshing Cleansing Gel on and off for a couple of years, so I thought I'd let you all know about it! Nivea originated as a German company at the beginning of the last century making the classic Nivea Creme and in the last hundred years have broadened out into manufacturing all kinds of skin and face care products. Nivea's facial gel is aimed at normal and combination skin. I have classically combination skin - an oily T Zone (forehead, nose and chin) and normal ... Read the complete review

Nivea Visage Refreshing Facial Wash Gel claims to be suitable for normal and combination skin and says that it 'purifies and revitalises for clean, fresh skin'. It currently (as of April 2009) costs £3.09 in Boots for a 150ml bottle, but as it is part of a popular Nivea range, there are often offers on the product so that it can be purchased for a cheaper price. The product is a surprising blue colour, smelling quite pleasantly of a sort of sweet soap. The smell is not strong or overpowering at all, and you can only really notice it when you're up close sniffing the product! I tend to use it by wetting my face with warm water, and then putting a ... Read the complete review

Am I a bit weird for using Nivea Visage refreshing facial wash-gel? Surely I should be using something called 'Rambo's Skin Repair System', or 'Saharan Face Scrub', or even 'Rub this the Hell on your Face!', with an advert where Mr T hits the wearer and tells them, 'You ain't worth it, sucker!' But no, I have used this member of the Nivea Visage (pronounced Visaarrrrrrrrrrj) range for a long time now and have had a clean face without feeling effeminate - despite thoughts to the contrary in light of certain bets I've made! The Wash Gel comes in a 150ml plastic container, with a flip lid. It used to have a screw top, but the newer version is a ... Read the complete review

Not one to refuse free sample packs, I am slowly working my way through the Nivea ones I got a while back, mainly because I forgot all about having them. - Nivea Visage - This range of products has been specifically designed for facial skincare. There are a wide range of lotions and potions available which are categorised by the skin type that they are suitable for: * Normal / Combination skin * Dry / sensitive skin * Oily skin - Refreshing Facial Wash Gel - This moisturiser is from the Normal / Combination Skin care range. It is designed to gently cleanse your skin without drying it out. Soap ... Read the complete review

I've been using this product for a number of years now, since I first 'borrowed' it from my friend whilst staying at her house. I can't be bothered to cleanse and tone and begrudge buying expensive, fancily packaged cotton wool pads to do so. So a wash-off cleanser was perfect. I tend to wet my face first with a flannel, then squeeze out the cleanser, mix with a bit of water, rub on my face, then rinse off with the flannel. The cleanser comes in the form of a blue gel that easily squeezes out of the tube onto your hands. The gel has a mild, but fresh smell. It foams up nicely when you mix it with water and then easily is worked into your face. ... Read the complete review
