Advantages: Good brand, gentle on skin, leaves skin feeling fresh and clean, easy to use
Disadvantages: Price maybe
I bought a pack of the Nivea Visage Refreshing Facial Cleansing wipes the last time we were travelling. I thought they would probably be better than some of those rather harsh wipes that you can buy to freshen up with. They are packed in a pale blue rectangular packet with a re-sealable lift up tab top. You must remember to replace this tab properly or the wipes will dry out. You need to dispose of the wipes as waste, as they cannot be flushed down the loo.
The ones I bought were for normal and combination skin types. Perfect for me as I sometimes get dry patches off skin on my forehead and oily patches around the side of my nose. As the wipes are not overly fragranced I can usually get Hubby to use them also. The sensitive ones are good, especially if you have been in the sun on holiday.
The pack holds 25 wipes but is nice and compact so it will easily fit into a handbag, pocket or bum-bag. If you have a little sniff when you open the packet you will be met with a creamy, almost soapy smelling fragrance. Each wipe opens up to a square about eight inches in every direction. One surface is smooth and the other has small regular bumps.
I find that I use the rougher surface for areas around the nose and chin and the smoother surface for my cheeks, neck and forehead but really it is up to you. These wipes not only freshen and cool your face but they also actually cleanse, tone and invigorate it. Well that's the claim and I must say that I agree.
Each wipe is enriched with Hydramine and Vitamins C and E which should be beneficial for your skin. They are alcohol free and gentle enough for around your eye area. However they will remove most make-up, including the waterproof kind. I paid £2.99 the last time I bought these but that was from a local chemist. Somewhere such as Superdrug or Boots should be cheaper.
Being made by Nivea they are a good brand. They are made in the Netherlands.
For me they are handy to pop into my handbag for work. As I do not wear make-up they are just right for a freshen up at lunchtime.
Thanks for reading
