Advantages: Very effective

I wear eye makeup every day - green/brown eyeliner, brown eyeshadow and black waterproof mascara - so I really need an effective eye makeup remover. Having tried lots of different brands, the most important things for me are that it isn't too oily (as sometimes I like to take my makeup off and redo if I'm going out at night), and that it doesn't sting my eyes, and of course that it's effective.

This product comes in a 150ml bottle which costs £7.50. However Boots often have promotions on the No 7 range so I usually pick this up for less. It's in a see-through, slightly translucent plastic bottle with a separate cap and a pump-action dispenser. The liquid itself is fairly bright blue, and has a two-tone effect. I think this is because the oil and water separate, so you need to give it a good shake before using.

I use this on cotton wool pads, and it only takes one pump to dispense enough for each eye. On wiping it over my eyelid and the surrounding area, it instantly brings off nearly all the makeup. It just takes another sweep or two to get rid of all the traces. I then use a new pad and another pump's-worth for the other eye. The thing is, it's a bit too oily and I usually have to have another wipe over with a clean cotton wool pad to remove all the residue. This is my only criticism; however it's still much better than most products I've tried, and as you only need to use a small amount it lasts for ages.

It also looks attractive on your dressing table - always a bonus!

Summary: Until I find a better one, I'll stick with this!
