Advantages: Skin feels nice and soft, removes excess oil.

Disadvantages: For a gel it's a bit too thick for me and I always have to use a toner afterwards.

I prefer to use cleansers with cotton wool that absorb into your skin rather than foaming cleanser face washes, I usually prefer to use this on a morning, and wash my face with a scrub on the evening. The reason being is before I apply my make-up on a morning I don't want it to look as if it's been dried out by a face wash, and a good cleanser can help asborb excess oil whilst leaving the skin smooth.

I bought this cleanser in Boots when they were doing one of their many £5 vouchers. Basically you got a voucher from the till when you spent at least £5 in Boots, this voucher entitled you to £5 off No7 or Ruby & Millie. You can tell when this voucher is running as the No7 counter is usually very busy!
I had recently ran out of my cleanser so I decided to give this one a go. It costs £7.30 so with my voucher I only paid £2.30.

No7 Beautifully Balanced cleanser is aimed at Oily/Combination skins. It comes in a large plastic bottle with a pump hidden underneath the lid. No7 do other cleansers aimed at other skin types and are different colours, this particular one is a pale green colour. The first thing to notice about is bottle is it is quite big, and it contains 200ml of cleanser.

The bottle states this cleanser will cleanse away impurities and make-up and help your skin stay healthy with this cooling and balancing gel. It claims to sweep away excess oil, clean the pores and soften the skin leaving it looking matte. It is fragrance-free, non-drying and hypo-allergenic.

Using this gel is easy, simply press down the pump onto your cotton wool pad. Only a small amount comes out at a time so I usually end up pressing the pump 4 or 5 times. When applying this to my face I immediately feel it's cooling side to it. It's a soft gel cleanser which wipes across the face easy and does feel very cooling, certainly helps me wake up on a morning!

It's absorbed into the skin easily and doesn't leave it feeling greasy, and there isn't any cleanser left behind. My skin feels nice and soft and not at all oily. It does do a great job.

You can also apply this toner and wash it away with warm water, I don't prefer to do this, I use a toner instead which leaves my skin feeling more refreshed. I don't think I could use this cleanser then go straight onto moisturising as this gel is thick so it does feel like it's clogging up your face, although this isn't noticeable and is probably me just being paranoid.

I personally prefer a more milky cleanser though, this cleanser is a gel and I can't quite put my finger on why I don't prefer it as much. That is my own opinion though, and it really does do a good job.

Overall this is a good cleanser for people with oily.combination skin. It removes excess oils, leaves the skin feeling soft and doesn't dry it out. I would follow up with a toner, the No7 Beautifully Balanced range also has a toner in the same design bottle, or of course you can use your own preferred brand.

Summary: A good cleanser for people with oily and combination skins.
