Advantages: Softens skin, reasonably priced (for No 7 anyway!)
Disadvantages: Expensive compared to other brands, doesn't have any extra skin benefits
I always use No 7 products. I used to use the Age-Rewind cream, at 24 I didn't really need it but it worked for my skin. At £17 for a tiny 30ml pot it was expensive and since losing my job at the end of last year it is no longer practical to spend so much money on a pot of face cream that I didn't really need.
I have since been trying out other creams in the No 7 range. First up was the Essential Moisture fluid; at £9.30 for 100ml it was definitely a more reasonably priced cream. But, I had definitely compromised on something as it stung my face!
What?!?!?! I have never had sensitive skin in my life but this made my skin turn red and sting like hell.
After this, I was a bit apprehensive about trying the Essential Moisture Night Cream, after all, it was from the same range. My fears were unfounded... It's great!
£9.30 for 50ml is a lot cheaper than my original cream so I was happy to pay it, and I could always take it back if it irritated my skin.
It comes in a rounded white pot with a kind of very pale pink iridescent hint to it.
The cream is for Normal/Dry skin and claims to 'nourish and replenish your skin while you sleep'.
Inside, you will find a baby pink cream that looks delicious and totally edible!
It contains soothing Elderflower and caring Vitamins E and F. It is also hypo-allergenic and fragrance free so really shouldn't irritate your skin.
When you apply it, it blends in well and easily skims over the skin so you don't have to use any more than is necessary (remember - less is more, Ladies! lol). Once it is applied your skin feels slightly damp, but not clammy or tacky. It takes longer than most creams to sink in but then it is a night cream and is heavier than all in one creams.
My skin feels soft and refreshed after use. It doesn't really help skintone or anything else but it does what it says on the tin and is a reasonable price so I am happy with it (well, until I can afford my expensive cream again!).
If you like the sound of this cream then head down to your nearest Boots asap as they currently have 3 for 2 on most of the No 7 range. And don't forget your advantage card as this item is worth 36 points.
It is also a risk free investment as unlike most other beauty/cosmetics companies, if you are at all unhappy with any No7 product you can return it for a full refund, as long as you have your receipt of course.
Summary: A good cream, does what it's supposed to and won't irritate skin.
