Advantages: Price, Little goes a long way

Disadvantages: Heavy consistency

I have to say I have mixed feelings about this product which I will go on to explain.

I started buying more No7 products and when my normal moisturiser ran out, I decided to try Essential Moisture Night Cream, after all we have all heard of the "miracle" products from No7. A 50ml pot retails at £9.50 in Boots and the No.7 range is very often on 3 for 2, recieve a free gift or £5 off vouchers to be used.

It comes in a rounded simple white pot like the picture above and the cream is a pale pink in colour. The cream is for Normal to Dry skin and I would say my skin is a combination of the two, and it claims to'nourish and replenish your skin while you sleep'.

The cream smells slightly chemically as if it has been overprocessed, personally I would like either a nice fragrence, it does claim to be fragrence free but I don't know how true that is. It contains Elderflower, Vitamins E and F and is hypo-allergenic, which makes it kind to sensitive skin.

I found I didn't really need much to apply it, I would say about half a grape sized blob for my face as the cream is quite thick and heavy. It took a while to soak in to my skin due to the consistency and left it looking slightly greasy.

My skin does feel soft in the morning but I have found since using this cream, my face has become more spotty. I have given the cream a fair go (more than 4 weeks) but I think I will be using a different one in future.

I think if you have really dry skin then this cream may work for you, it is a good price for what you get. I would say I have used about a third of the pot over 4 weeks, it is just slightly heavy and may block your pores.

Summary: Suitable for dry skin

I used to buy No 7 products, but the prices have risen so much, I tend to go for the cheaper and equally effective brands nowadays.
