Advantages: nice packaging as always...
Disadvantages: It's lies, all lies!
I bought this many moons ago with one of my £5 off No7 vouchers, I must have had it six months now and it's hardly been used!
It isn't that its a bad moisturiser, it just doesn't seem to work for me anymore.
It costs £9.30 currently for a 100ml bottle.
I use the Intelligent Balance foundation and that realy does seem to be intelligent in knowing which bits of my skin need moisture, which need less oil etc.
This sadly doesn't.
I bought it as it is suitable for combination and oily skin, mine is very combination; I have dry patches on my forehead but a shiny nose so hoped this would help both.
"Balancing act, take a fresh look at moisturising with this clever oil free fluid, created to balance combination skin without blocking pores"
Sounds perfect......
I applied this as instructed after cleansing and toning (with No7 products of course) It has a nice pump top which you press a few times to get a decent blob out.
The moisturiser is a very pale green colour, this can be seen through the pearlescent bottle.
To say it's oil free it does feel very greasy on first touch!
I carry on and dab a dot on my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead and massage in "circles" as told.
It feels nice on my dry bits but just sits on top of my skin on my more oily parts of skin, just like most moisturisers tend to do with me. So far, not impressed.
As this is a day fluid I expect most women will want to apply make-up over the top and this really isn't possible. The fluid makes my already oily bits so shiny that foundation almost slips off in about 10 minutes!
I had to start again, take my make-up off and the moisturiser off and just apply make-up alone.
I decided i'd see how it worked on a night instead, after all night creams are just more concentrated than day creams so it wouldn't do me any harm!
Of course it didn't matter that my skin was so shiny in bed so I forgot about it and went to sleep.
In the morning I woke up and my dry bits were improved but my oily bits were worse. My hair was as really greasy from the fact this product just sat on my skin and didn't sink in!!
So overall a good moisturiser for dry skin but then again most you can buy for a quarter of the price of this work well on dry skin! This doesn't live up to its promises and is an expensive waste of money. It pains me to say that as I a big fan on No7 stuff!!
A tub of simple Nivea does the same job for about £1.50.
Summary: Avoid
