Advantages: Easily absorbed, non greasy, contains SPF 15, reasonably priced.

Disadvantages: None

Oil of Olay is one of those products that has been quietly getting on with the job while flashier, poncier 'emollients' have come and gone in a blaze of publicity. Large beauty companies buy magazine space, which means that beauty editors are hardly likely to slag off the latest Le Miracle cream du Sheep's Placenta at£5000 a pot, and say 'Frankly you'd be better off using axel grease' because they'd lose the sponsorship of the beauty company.

Therefore the creams that have been around for a long time like Olay, survive and thrive through word of mouth because they work.

Olay is a light, very easily absorbed face cream. It's one of the few on the market that contains a broad spectrum sunblock (dermatologists recommend 15spf daily as a minimum), it's not greasy and you can put your makeup on straight after. And it doesn't cost a fortune. Depending where you go, a big bottle costs about £6 - £9 and lasts a few months.

And as someone who's worked in the magazine industry for several years, it's used by lots of models and beauty editors. What more could you want?

Summary: Fabulous!
