Advantages: Cheap, simple, effective
Disadvantages: Not great for problem skin
Olay Beauty Fluid (or Oil of Olay, or previously Oil of Ulay, remember that) has always been a product that many rave about. It's just a basic moisturiser, however with so many high tech options available on the market today, it's quite nice that this one has stayed true to it's simple self.
I remember being very young and noticing that this was the one product that both my father and mother had in their bathroom, which proves the point that it's something everyone can use and therefore everyone should have.
As a moisturiser, it's very good. There are no real added benefits to this facial moisturiser other than the fact that it will soften skin and add moisture to the skin. This is a moisturiser that's suitable for all skin types, however I'd say this is best suited to normal skin, but that's just my opinion. I use this when my (oily/problem) skin is in need of a quick moisture fix. I like the fact that it's basic so it won't interfere with any treatments I may have used or plan to use on my skin. Generally I'll use this when I've just done a scrub or a deep facial, as it's gentle enough to compliment any harsh treatments. I don't however use this as a daily moisturiser as I like to use something that's going to deal with my problem skin, but I do use it regularly enough; about twice a week, usually after a shower or treatment.
The bottle is a little different to normal moisturiser packaging as it's more squat and wider; kind of like a normal moisturiser that's been squashed down. It has a black lid and the moisturiser is white as is the rest of the bottle.
All in all I'd say this is a cult classic that's worth having on your dresser. It isn't something I'd recommend as a regular moisturiser unless you're blessed with normal, problem free skin as if you're not then there are plenty of moisturisers available that can be used to deal with problems as well as moisturise your skin.
Summary: A cult classic that'll never date
