Not just for women - It's great for men too!!! (Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid)

Advantages: It soothes, moisturises and leaves the skin feeling fresh

I know loads of women use this product to moisturise their skin to remain youthful and beautiful. It has been a favourite for many years, with both mothers and grandmothers swearing by it. I know these days more and more men are beginning to take care of their skin and have started to exfoliate and moisturise, gone are the days when the only products that came into contact with a mans skin was soap, shaving soap and aftershave. These days there are all kinds of balms, aftershave lotions and moisturisers for men, a large number of which are intended for use after shaving to take care of the skin and soothe it after the rigours of a clean shave.

Having tried many of these products, I have not really been very impressed with many of them. They are often rather over priced for the amount you get, especially from the well know brand names, sometimes they are so pricey, they are clearly trying to get their product to be seen as a status symbol of some kind. Also I have found that a lot of the products while they might be soothing etc they tend to leave the skin really quite greasy or in some examples feeling like I have a face mask on, a real tightness on the skin. Also having quite sensitive skin I have found that a lot of the special balms can cause me discomfort ranging from stinging to bringing me out in a rash.

In the abscence of a product which has really impressed me, I have reverted back the product which I started off using years ago when I first started shaving Oil of Olay (or Ulay as it was known back then...) My mother has used it for years and my Nan used to swear by it. When I first started shaving I found that most aftershave lotions of the time irritated my sensitive skin, so my mother suggested Oil of Ulay as it is a very gentle but effective moisturiser. I some what reluctantly (after all, it's what old women use.... I thought) gave it a go. I was very pleasantly surprised, I found it to be very soothing on freshly shaved skin and whats more it soaked in nicely leaving my skin feeling fresh and not greasy. I have continued to use it after I shave and even sometimes at night when I've had a day in the sun or outdoors and my face feels dry.

As I mentioned I have tried other lotions aimed at men but so far I have yet to be as impressed with any as I am with Oil of Olay. As far as I'm concerned, it has been a favourite of women for years for a very good reason, it really is a great product, it moisturises well, soothes the skin anf leaves it feeling fresh and non greasy, what more could you ask for.

I would heartily recommend Oil of Ulay to any one who wants something to take good care of their skin, and most certainly for men who want a good post-shave lotion. Forget any stigma you might have about it, it's a great product!!!

It might not be the cheapest moisturiser out there but it's certainly better than a lot of products aimed at men and you can often find it on offer in Superdrug or Wilkinsons, sometimes deals as good as buy one get one free, so keep your eyes peeled!!!

Summary: Men, forget any stigma you have about it and give it a try!!!
