Advantages: Everything, it's Olay!
Disadvantages: None I can think of!
As far as I can make out the product I'm reviewing is the revamped one of the one on the review photograph. I cant see anywhere that the one on the photo still exists and mine does so seeing as no one has put a review here anyway I shall!
So just to be clear I'm Reviewing Olay Daily Cleansers, Refreshing Toner for normal/dry & combination skin.
The Packaging:
It's a 200ml Clear plastic recyclable bottle with a dark blue screw on/off lid. A turquoisy/light blue liquid in it. On the front in black writing it says Olay. In blue writing it lets us know what it is and that it contains chamomile & Witch Hazel. Little usual gold Olay symbol which is a ladies face. On the back tells us what the product promises, the directions, ingredients and contact details for Procter & Gamble ( the manufacturers of Olay)
The Promise:
Olay refreshing toner is specifically designed to clarify and revitalise skin.
The special formula, containing Chamomile and the astringent Witch Hazel, helps to revitalise your skin and make it look and feel refreshed and purified.
The alcohol free and PH balanced formula is suitable dry, normal & combination skin.
Directions:
Use morning and evening after cleansing. Soak cotton wool with Olay refreshing toner and sweep over the face and neck. Can also be used to refresh your skin during the day.
My Verdict:
I originally bought this to use in conjunction with the Olay cleansing lotion. That ran out and since then I have purchased this product time and time again. I find it brilliant!
Firstly I like the smell. For such a delicate product and designed for sensitive skin I was shocked to find it had any fragrance at all and was dubious upon the smell of using it on my skin particularly anywhere near my eyes, which love an excuse to weep and get sore!
I cant tell you what the fragrance smells of particularly though as it isn't a heavy scent or anything.
So as I said I used it firstly in conjunction with the cleanser but when I ran out of the cleanser I had some other ones hanging around and couldn't justify to myself going out and buying more when they do a perfectly good job. However the toner is, I think just as important as a cleanser. Yes a cleanser gets off the majority of the make up but the toner is needed to make sure that all remnants of the make up is gone but also gets rid of the cleanser residue so you don't get blocked pores and boy do I suffer with them!
This, to me is a perfect toner. It really does make sure all traces of make up end up on the cotton wool rather than being eaten by your skin and you can actually feel it removing the cleanser. It's very cooling on the skin and even though it contains witch hazel there is no tingle. Its not greasy but does leave skin a little moisturised afterwards and it's perfect for then applying moisturiser over the top. Even though it contains moisturising properties it doesn't feed my spots (which can be vast) and I think the witch hazel really helps with that and the occasional puffiness I get under my eyes.
I don't always just use it after taking off make up. No siree. This is a versatile bottle I have here. In the summer I used it to refresh tired, tight skin. In the mornings I apply a little on a cotton wool pad to just under my eyes to help alleviate the puffiness Ive mentioned already (particularly good after a heavy night out) I also use it on a cotton wool pad just to to dab spots with or when I'm applying eyeliner and a make a mistake. I always use it when I come out of the bath or shower as I find soapy residues in the bathroom air can leave my skin on my face feeling really tight and mask like.
So in conclusion.... I really do rely on this product for a lot of uses so I think it works out rather economical. Anything that means I can shorten my ritual down of all the things I pamper myself with without compromising myself in any way I will do!
Even though I use this product alot I find a bottle lasts me a couple of months. Of course this varies person to person but I highly recommend it to anyone who wants soft smooth, supple skin. You can be any age and I'm sure once you try it you they'll be no going back lol
£4.49 in Boots but can be found in a lot of supermarkets and chemists and do look out for he offers that are usually about in this range.

Summary: Perfect to make sure you have a lovely clean mush!
